The boarding at Civitavecchia (Rome) was seamless at our allocated time. We had all our paper work ready and check-in complete, with COVID test etc, which I think helped as there were plenty of folk sitting around waiting. Never been with NCL before and probably won't cruise with them again. Everything they do board is about cash extraction.
They charge a fee for for buying from their shops, for the pleasure of serving you.
Gambling is the main feature on the ship, lots and lots of tables.
Although we had a drinks package, bottled water was not included, for a litre of water $6.00 + 20% SC.

It's our 3rd on Princess (20+ cruises in total).
We've cruised on the Royal princess before which is a same class ship. But the regal is slightly better in design.

Costa sent people to the wrong port. You don't start the embarkation process in Port of Marghera/ Venice like a lot of people thought. You start it in the port of Tronchetto. We thought we liked the itinerary - 10 day cruise from Venice to Barcelona with a different port everyday. We wore ourselves out and did not have the discipline not to get off the ship every day.
