Challenging to book what I wanted

Review for Nordlys to Europe - British Isles & Western

User Avatar

I sailed on this ship on 11th October but only for four nights between Bergen and Tromso. Booking was the first challenge. Although the Nordlys is part of the Hurtigruten group and used by local people in Norway to travel between small ports up and down the coast, in the UK the website seems intent on only allowing you to book an 11 night sailing (Bergen to North Cape and return). I had to phone ...

My husband and I celebrated our 40+1 wedding anniversary aboard the AmaLyra. What a wonderful experience!! From the moment we boarded, it was a first class event. The crew was amazing, friendly, charming and knowledgeable. Meals were delicious and presented beautifully, paired with ideal wines to match. The tours each day were an event to look forward to, and the guides took very good care ...

Worse cruise ever!

Review for Eurodam to Mediterranean

Old ship, not remodeled. Staff on the ship work very hard, could not overcome poor management and worse leadership. 1- no smoking ship but when we complained about the cabin next door smoking all time. They were to busy to do anything. Several trips to the front desk. 2- very poor communication from the top. 3 - should have left and returned from Venice but instead we got a very ...

First experience of P&O, so disappointed.

Review for Ventura to Europe - All

Ok, this was our first cruise with P&O but not our first cruise, so we have a lot of experience of what to expect and what service should be, despite Covid excuses. The ship is very nice and we liked the layout. Having been out of service for 19 months, we assumed everything would be working, so imagine our annoyance when we walked into our cabin to find a bedside light wasn’t working. It ...

Service Good, but experience levels are confusing

Review for MSC Magnifica to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were visiting Venice and added on this cruise since the price was very good. Stayed in suite on deck 12, cabin 12047 specifically (with Aurea package). Cabin steward was good. Cabin spacious, but layout a bit odd. Approximately 15 feet wide by 33 feet long. Bed headboard was next to interior bulkhead, sometimes carts hit the bulkhead while sleeping. Also, cabin is located underneath a ...

My husband and I had talked about a European river cruise for years, and we finally did it! We had heard goid reviews of Ama and loved the destinations on this cruise. We were not disappointed. The crew of the Ama Certo are awesome, particularly Marius, Diana, and cruise manager Wei Ler Gan! We were treated so well. We have such memories of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Durnstein, ...

Only 3 days of a 7 day cruise

Review for Jewel of the Seas to Baltic Sea

User Avatar

Our first cruise ever. Picked this because of the cost and route. Once on board, the ship is beautiful. Spotlessly clean. The service and staff are so friendly. The standard staterooms are slightly small. The balcony was good. We were on the 8.30pm meal time and you get your table for the whole cruise. This is nice as you get the same staff looking after you for each meal. The meals are so good. ...

Picked this cruise as it was from Southampton so no flying. Great thing about this ship is the crew, all helpful and happy, great stateroom on deck 10,food very good in the MDR, not the usual choices in the buffet, which was disappointing ( perhaps because there were only approx 1300 guests onboard ), precautions taken re covid were very good ,but there was four cases, three of these were taken ...

First 'post-covid' International cruise: from Southampton to Spain & Canaries (no Portugal) and lessons learnt.

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Europe - British Isles & Western

There should never have been the amount of stress pre cruise that we (English) and especially the Americans were put through. The lack of communication from Celebrity was a common theme. We all jumped through hoops to get on this cruise. Pre- embarkation we had to arrange for PCR tests within 3 days of leaving. The choice was use Eurofins, recommended and linked to Celebrity who then forward ...

Post Covid British Isles Cruise - some changes but overall very good

Review for Anthem of the Seas to Baltic Sea

User Avatar

We decided to book a british isles cruise as we needed a break and have not been able to get to our usual cruise destination of the carribbean in nearly two years. We are two adults with no children and cruise Royal/NCL and Carnival mainly. Embarkation; We expected this to take a bit longer than usual due to covid requirements but it was actually very smooth and we were on the ship from ...
