Mixed Bag: Carnival Cruise Dream Review

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

My recent voyage aboard the Carnival Cruise Dream from April 6th to 14th was a rollercoaster of experiences, ranging from delightful surprises to disappointing letdowns. Let's start with the positives. Among the sea of mediocrity, two stars shone brightly. Dewa, our room attendant, embodied excellence in customer service. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our stay memorable. ...

What? No Buffet! Or Tablecloths or butter knives

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Jubilee

Here are my thoughts on Carnival Jubliee from the point of view of a 60 something British person with many cruises under my belt on many different lines. Essentially it was OK. But I was very surprised at what was missing from other cruises I have been on. Firstly there is effectively no buffet. All the cruise ships I have been on boast a huge selection of food in a large buffet on the same ...

A mostly introverted review

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

To start off, I'll tell you a little about myself to give context to this review. I'm 46, gay, married, and I'm about 70% introvert. This is my 12th cruise, and my 3rd on RCCL. My favorite line is Celebrity, because I like being quietly pampered and relaxing. But I also really like Royal Caribbean's fun, friendly vibe. On every cruise I've taken, even cruises bad enough that I've rejected ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Regal Princess

This was our third cruise with princess, after having a magnificent time on its sister ship, the Royal princess back in 2017 we thought we'd all get back together and try the regal! There were 10 of us ranging from 22-80 years old. We were all very excited as we had all just loved our time on the Royal princess but I don't know if princess has changed post covid or cruising in general. First ...

Great ship - focus needed on service

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Jubilee

The pros: -The ship is new, beautiful, with many activities at any given time -The Serenity pool/bar area for adults only is large with plenty of loungers and sun beds. We never had an issue finding a spot even later in the morning. -Drink service on departure day - you won't have to look for this - you will be swarmed. Your drink package does not apply on day 1 so I am guessing ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We just got back from our weeklong cruise, so let me share with you what I think, so good and bad highlights were: Good - generally, the food. The Haven breakfast was nice to have and definitely more unique ingredients and higher quality of ingredients in the food. I enjoyed the French press, coffee, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. They ended up bringing the Sriracha from another Haven ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Harmony of the Seas

To first-time and occasional cruisers, this would likely have been a five-star experience ... but those of us who've been with Royal for a while (as in the maiden voyage of Grandeur, now the oldest ship in the fleet), the differences become more notable with each trip. Our last cruise out of Galveston was on the Allure in late '22, so we have a comparison. The most significant cutback is the ...

We sailed two years ago on the voyager during Christmas and new year weeks. It was a back to back cruise. It included a sauna and steam room. They have been recently taken out(no more steam or sauna) and a large number of new cabins were added to accommodate more guests. The gym has been downsized. They have moved the crown and anchor from the 14th deck to deck 5 in the old card room It almost ...

Prima experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My family and I cruise quite a lot. We just got off the Prima. Usually my son loves the kids club but this time it was so hard to get in that we stopped trying. Instead of just being able to drop him off we have to sign into a queue and wait 30+ (after the doors opened) before we could get to the front of the line. It was ridiculous. On top of that it wasn't open while we were in port which ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We are long time sailors of NCL since 2012 when we sailed the sky for our honeymoon. The Prima, don’t get me wrong is definitely by looks and amenities like comparing a Ford to a Mercedes Benz. Aesthetically the Prima is beautiful, bright, and can rub elbows with a celebrity ship. That being said sailing on the Escape before and the Sky before the Prima does have a few faults. Anyone who has ...
