Mixed Bag: Carnival Cruise Dream Review

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

My recent voyage aboard the Carnival Cruise Dream from April 6th to 14th was a rollercoaster of experiences, ranging from delightful surprises to disappointing letdowns. Let's start with the positives. Among the sea of mediocrity, two stars shone brightly. Dewa, our room attendant, embodied excellence in customer service. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our stay memorable. ...

A mostly introverted review

To start off, I'll tell you a little about myself to give context to this review. I'm 46, gay, married, and I'm about 70% introvert. This is my 12th cruise, and my 3rd on RCCL. My favorite line is Celebrity, because I like being quietly pampered and relaxing. But I also really like Royal Caribbean's fun, friendly vibe. On every cruise I've taken, even cruises bad enough that I've rejected ...

4 day baby cruise

Seasoned cruiser with 15+ cruises under my belt. Had a free cruise compliments of the RCL Casino, took the 4 day on from Galveston to Cozumel and back. Room - we are balcony people usually, but we didn't win the Royal Up this time. We got an inside room. It was in an inside hallway -- and we LOVED the location. Near the elevator, but crazy quiet. No kids running back and forth, which was ...

Balcony

We were very pleased with the cruise BUT we always get a balcony and right below our balcony was a whirlpool with a very bright light that shined into our room all night. We couldn't stand out on our balcony and enjoy the view because there were people in the whirlpool all day long, every day looking back at us! We felt very uncomfortable because we felt they thought we were staring at them. Phil ...

My husband and I cruised with our High School senior and her friend this past week. This was spring break and the ship was full. We sailed on AOS last June and it was not as crowded and did not have as many children. My husband and I had a balcony cabin and the girls were across from us in an interior promenade room. Because they were 17, we had to book one parent in each room and then we simply ...

Great First Cruise

This was my first cruise. I had a seasoned cruiser leading the way. She made all the reservations for our group of 7 girls. The food was good. Not blow your socks off amazing, but good. We ate dinner in the dining room each night and the Windjammer buffet every day for lunch. The buffet is huge, too many choices. So it's great for picky eaters. I thought the buffet food was good. My ONLY 2 issues ...

Pretty much sucked all the way around!

From start to finish this was a subpar vacation for our kids. Way too crowded, buffet was not good & worse of all was that the service sucked. Trying to find a fun, charismatic bartender was not possible. We couldn't even try to throw out extra mobey for decent service. Pathetic! Then to top it off, post sailing we get a reimbursement check for an overcharge. Then 2 weeks post sailing we get ...

Cruising is what you make of it.

A basic cruise that went just as expected. This is not the largest or fanciest cruise but it is well maintained. The itinerary is what you can expect from a four night cruise. We ate at the Italian and chops specialty restaurants and the service in those was great as was the food. It was very pricy in there though and they do try to sell you a picture in those restaurants. The buffet was ...

Adventure of the Seas Mar 8th – Mar 15th, 2024 Good day thanks for taking the time to read my cruise review. Before going into the review, I wanted to share that my cruise experience consists of 18 Royal Caribbean cruises, I have had the privilege of sailing on all the Class ships except the New Icon. Although I have been on more than 20 Cruises. I do not consider myself an expert, However I ...

First cruise experience

My steward was amazing, but I will never cruise again. I feel like we spent our entire vacation waiting in lines. Whether it be waiting for a drink, waiting for food, waiting to get off the ship, waiting for an elevator, waiting in line for our excursion, or waiting in a line to get back to the ship/ on the ship after an extremely short excursion… I feel that my money would have been better spent ...
