I am 31 years old and went on my first cruise in 1985 it was the Sitmar Fairwind. I still recall what a fantastic vacation....that is what got me hooked on cruising. I sailed on Rhapsody in April 2007 (she just got out of dry-dock) She looked like an 80 year old after a facelift...a little better but still old! After reading some of the other reviews I felt a need to chime in and WARN potential ...

This was our very first cruise. We took our 9 year old son with us and drove to Galveston from Kansas. The trip was long, but not difficult. We parked or vehicle with EZ cruise parking. I was very impressed with the cost and quality. They loaded our luggage coming and going and were very pleasant. I highly recommend them. We boarded the ship as soon as we could, and dined on the buffet will ...

We went 6/17 on the Rhapsody out of Galveston. We had 11 family members with us. 5 kids, 6 adults. We stayed at the Hilton Saturday night. I did not care for the A/C in the room it was extremely loud and made it hard to sleep. (they are window units) We ate at Landry's Seafood next to the Rainforest and it was very good food!! Sunday we caught a 11:00 shuttle to the pier. This was the fastest ...

This was the first cruise for my wife, Deb and I. We are in our late 50's ( I am 4 years older than she) We traveled with our son (27) and Daughter-in-law on their first wedding anniversary (June 10). The neat part of that is that it was also our 35th wedding anniversary! We live northwest of Abilene, Tx and the kids live in Lubbock. They traveled to our house, then we drove together the 6 hours ...

Cast of Characters: Myself, my daughter (teen) from North Carolina and my sister, my brother and my parents from Washington State. Last year, my sister and I were talking about what to do for our parent's 60th wedding anniversary, June 8, 2007. We hit upon the idea of taking them on a cruise since they had never been able travel outside of the United States, (well maybe Canada, but since that ...

We live in Pearland, Texas so it was a 45 minute ride to port. We arrived about 1:45 and were on the ship in our cabin by 2:30 - much faster than I expected. The ship is beautiful - perfect size for my first cruise - DH has cruised before. I quickly figured out where everything was and was comfortable by the end of the first night. Our cabin was #3590 - oceanview on deck 3. We were worried about ...

Background Information: Eleven members of my family booked this cruise through my mom who is a travel agent in celebration of my niece's graduation from High School. This was my parent's 28th cruise. They have sailed on several other cruise lines. The RCCL and the Rhapsody in particular has been one of their favorites. We all traveled to Galveston the day before since we had a 10 hour drive (west ...
