This was my first cruise, so I don't have a point of comparison other than what I have read here. But my overall impression was good. Galveston is unfortunately pretty far from the nearest airport, so if you are not driving in, you will have to work out how to get to port. We ended up flying into Bush a day early. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean, and overall, we were pleased with the Navigator. However, the Navigator was on its last cruise out of Galveston. The day that we disembarked, it was on its way to Florida. The replacement will be Liberty of the Seas which is a larger ship.

We had a great time. Our drive to Galveston from Oklahoma was good except for a 20 minute traffic jam in Dallas and a 10 minute traffic jam in Houston.
