The food was very good.
"BTW-on one of the last nights of the cruise the Astros were playing on the big screen outside- the pizza was better. The windjammer cafe food was MUCH better than a lot food I have had on other cruise ships self-serve dining options (although the selections were smaller-the food was good)...."Read More

My husband and I have been on so many cruises that I cannot remember how many I have been on. That being said this was only our second cruise on RCI. Why? We live close to Galveston and I am tired of getting stuck at airports. Compared to Adventure of the Seas this cruise was GREAT. Compared to most other cruises I would give it a 3. Why? The rooms and the the lack of things to do on the ship ...

Anniversary and price is why we chose this cruise. We had some of the BEST service on this cruise we have ever had and we always have good service! It was very relaxing and the pillows and beds were so comfortable. Our room did almost have a moldy smell. Our room was on deck 2 and I do not think I would do that again. We had no refrigerator. The shows were ok.No real stand-outs and not a lot to do ...

This was the first time on a Royal Caribbean ship but not our last. We had a lovely suite with all the amenities, see separate review. We also purchased the unlimited dining and drink packages and Voom internet. Boarding out of Galveston was a bit unsatisfying as we had a bit of a wait to get through security, then as the Coast Guard were inspecting the ship it was another hours delay to ...

Good but with limitations

We had a very good time on the cruise but with limitations. This is an older smaller ship and you can't expect all the bells and whistles on the bigger newer ships. The service by the staff was excellent although you could tell they were short staffed in the lounges. Our cabin was a jr suite and was fine. It had a nice sitting area with lots of storage space and a decent sized bathroom. We had ...

My wife and I decided, we needed to get away for our anniversary, so we decided on a cruise, and after some research, we decided on Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas. So the morning of the 15th of August, we traveled from Huntsville to Galveston, 130 miles away. We used and downloaded Royal Caribbean application. Embarkation was 1200-1230, was so easy and simple, only 2 people ahead ofus. ...

Disappointing cruise ship. Very small and very few outdoor things to do

I wanted to take my daughter and my 2 oldest grandkids (ages 7, 8). Proximity to my location, and it was my 3rd cruise. The others were Royal Caribbean out of Galveston too. All of them have been short 4-5 day cozumel type cruises. This cruise ship was a lot smaller than the other 2 I've been on. There wasn't much to do outside. The pool was small and salty. The only other outdoor activities were ...

We've cruised several times and just wanted a quick getaway so the ports and all the bells and whistles weren't a huge deal to us. Unfortunately the food was some of the worst I've had on a cruise ship. Nothing was realllllly good or standout. The 3 specialty restaurants booked on the first day so I would do that in advance if you want to go. The staff was great! They were very attentive and great ...

Dirty SCORPION Nightmare

I chose this cruise because of price and was told that Royal Caribbean had the best and biggest boats with alot of activities. This was the absolute worst experience ever. The entry was underwhelming and the entertainment with games was boring. To top it off it was dirty and smelly and move had to move because of the vomit smell. The rooms are tiny too and service was terrible at the bar and ...

Waste of Money / Horrible Do not vacation on this ship

I went with my sister and her son trying to have a great summer get away with all the kids. I feel like this was a waste of good earned money. We had not been anywhere since COVID and was trying to have some fun. The kids were so bored I had to spend additional money for Wi-Fi on a daily basis. The food was horrible and did not taste fresh. If it was not for the pizza my kids would have ...
