"If you aren’t familiar with this I think they are at least doing this on RC and Celebrity… on the app you watch the safety videos and then once on board no more getting interrupted in the middle of the day to go to your muster station, just some time during the day you need to go to your designated station and check in… so much better!!!Went with husband and 2 kids, after canceling a Celebrity Cruise that was during this same time a few months ago with Omicron had hit, booked this last minute after COVID numbers were down and my parents cruised in Feb noting the cruise was only 50% booked...."Read More

1-10 of 29 Galveston Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Cruise Reviews
Our first sign that something was amiss was before we even arrived. As we were driving up to the boat, we saw a rusty, grimey mess near the upper portions of the back of the ship. Admittedly, this is on the uppermost floors nearer the smoke stacks, but this was bad even for that location and everyone remarked on it.
The security line was lengthy, but tolerable.
As soon as we walked on the ...
Let’s start with the room. The bed sheets were untidy and had hairs attached to the sheets, the phone was dirty, the key fob didn’t work, so we were locked out of the room. The second day, the hinges fell off the door, and they had to move us. They cancelled our costa Maya destination we paid for and made it a boat day, which was boring, so we slept the entire day, and only woke for lunch and ...
This review starts at the port. RCCL has a new terminal that is beautiful but has to be run by blind people. It apparently opened in November and it was the worst experience we have ever witnessed in a port. There apparently is no communication between security, the private parking vendors, and RCCL. I found the disorganization to be rampant. We pulled in to be dropped off and were told to go to ...
Our embarkation was a disaster, waited in line for 95 min. They were not enforcing checkin times. Line was much longer for others. Food quality has declined significantly, sure don’t like new menus in MDR. Forcing guest to eat in specialty restaurants. They are still very good. Mama Mia was excellent best show at sea. Staff works hard. Had long hour plus wait at security in Cozumel.
This was ...
We made the mistake of going on this cruise and would not refer it to anyone
The chow line /buffet was horrible, the same food over and over and the staff was not interested in helping at all
Beds are like sleeping on a board ,pillows and full of foam pieces
Toliet paper is 1 ply
Towels are bottom of the barrel, like trying to dry yourself off with coarse sandpaper
Service in ...
This was a Valentine Cruise featuring the Texas Tenors. However, unless you purchased VIP package, you were unable to hear them perform. Embarkation was a complete zoo standing in line with hundreds of other guests for thirty minutes before being able to board. Very crowded with lots of children. Entertainment venues always booked up with long waiting lines. Cabin bed was very uncomfortable. ...
Just wanted to get on this this ship because it was new to galveston-the food in both buffet and dining room was terrible-the best food on the ship was pizza and hamburger-too many food that was terrible-service in the dining room was terrible-i was eating alone and the ship refused to serve my appetizer and entree at the same time(talk to supervisor, assy maitre d, maitre d and finally food and ...
We were first time cruisers on Royal Caribbean, previously sailing pre-COVID on Carnival and Norwegian. We were on the Feb 5th sailing from Galveston. We live in the Houston area and sailing out of Galveston is very convenient. We both have birthdays this week and wanted to book a cruise. The Allure was just coming to Galveston and when we compared it to the other ships that sailed from ...
This was our 9th RC cruise, first on Oasis Class. We had a group of 23 celebrating grandson's 21st birthday. Prior to cruise I linked our reservation for dining. When we boarded, there were several reservations not linked, 8 total people. We were assured it would be fixed. Despite several attempts, only 4 were able to dine at our tables, leaving 4 of our party seated at the other side of the ...
This was our 21st and 22nd cruise, all but three being on RCCL. I am shocked at the bad reviews this ship is getting. The ship is fantastic with a lot of things the other ships don't have like the Central Park, boardwalk, and diving show.
It is BIG! It is being well maintained and is very clean. When we first walked in, it was like walking into a glitzy shopping mall and I just stood there a ...
