We just got back from a wonderful 11 day cruise!! The Prima is a very beautiful ship, easy to get around, certainly the good outweighs the bad!! I don't understand all the negativity as we found all the crew very happy, smiling & very friendly!! Food in the Hudson's & Commodore rooms mostly very enjoyable a couple times an issue had to be resolved, but it was done quickly & satisfying!! Our ...
My traveling companions and I stayed in 2 room balcony suites at the front of the ship. The cabins were spacious and well equipped. We had excellent service from our steward and butler. My only disappointment with the ship was that it was not always easy to find areas to relax. When we were looking for areas to lounge with a drink, we often had to wander around the ship to find open spaces. ...
This was my second cruise ever so I can't complain about the layout of the ship like everyone else. It was a little confusing to figure out where anything was but that added to the adventure I suppose. The ship was amazing, we were in Haven and it was certainly nice having a private bar, deck and pool. Staff was great, everyone was very professional and friendly. The events were entertaining. ...
We just got back from our weeklong cruise, so let me share with you what I think, so good and bad highlights were:
Good
- generally, the food. The Haven breakfast was nice to have and definitely more unique ingredients and higher quality of ingredients in the food. I enjoyed the French press, coffee, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. They ended up bringing the Sriracha from another Haven ...
Worst cruise we’ve been on by far for the following reasons:
- Booked a “club mini-suite” which was smaller than a standard room for some reason and had a metal wall on the balcony so we couldn’t see the water when seated. A vastly inferior room compared to a standard room at a cost of $1,000 more. Their justification was you get extra amenities like a bottle of cheap champagne (worthless with ...
I had never been on a cruise before so I figured let's go with Norwegian. I've been on four prior cruises (Carnival in April/1998, Disney in August/1998, Disney in May/2022, Royal Caribbean in May/2023). These four were definitely very good. Norwegian? Absolutely not. Let's cover the pros before I go into the extensive cons
PROS
-Beautiful, elegant ship.
-Delicious food, albeit there were ...
I just returned from a 7 day voyage on the Norwegian Prima. We did the Western Caribbean itinerary out of Galveston making stops at Costa Maya, Cozumel, Harvest Caye (Belize), and Roatan Bay (Honduras).
My overall review/rating for the ship, crew, cabin and entertainment are all A+. NCL has definitely stepped up their game with the Prima class and my wife and I could not have been more ...
Overall, I really enjoyed my second cruise with NCL. The main positives were:
- Excellent staff in Los Lobos
- Syd Normans Pour House - the Rumours show was excellent!
- Staff in the Hudson's main dining room were fabulous, never felt rushed and food was excellent
- Studio room was very well designed and solo lounge was great
- Great ports of call, with excellent excursions ...
I’ve been loyal to NCL for the past 9 years and have sailed most of the ships starting with the Epic and newer. I think NCL should fire the team who came up with this class of ship. What a waste. I’m in the middle of a sailing now. The shops are all closed for remodeling? Donna Summer cancelled for unknown reason. The only Premium entertainment show is The Price is Right? lol what? Food is ...
My top priorities in a cruise:
1) Good food/fast service
2) Nice non smoking casino
3) Nice spa
4) Great outdoor sitting areas to not be around a lot of people
5) Nice cabin and a ship with modern features that look like a spaceship
And that's why we LOVED the Prima. It knocks off all of those things in perfect fashion. But some people gave the Prima really bad reviews, and I ...
