I selected this cruise because our first cruise with Royal Caribbean was on Harmony of the Seas and the experience was exceptional. I figured we would give them another try. Liberty of the Seas is an older ship and the cabins definitely show it, from the outdated TV' to the tile work in the bathrooms. Our cabin was 9535, I seleced that cabin because of its location: close the the stairs and ...
This was our 5th cruise, 4 with Carnival (absolutely no issues at all), but our first with Royal Caribbean, huge mistake on our part. I deeply regret that we switched lines! The multiple issues experienced & the extremely poor customer service onboard, as well as the follow up after the sailing, is beyond my comprehension.
We conveyed our issues while onboard as well as a follow up upon our ...
We chose a 7 night Caribbean voyage for our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We had been to the 3 ports many times, but took totally different excursions. The itinerary was fun as usual, but this particular ship was older, outdated, and in need of a thorough deep cleaning. The any time dining plan was always crowded and a long wait. We like to keep a flexible evening just in case the day is running ...
My wife and I have been on this ship several times. We had a deck 9 balcony cabin which was good. Nice quiet cabin. The railing outside needed to be refinished. other wise as expected.
On the first night did the Mystery Dinner. it was good. The meal in Giovannis was good. Nice start.
Food in MDR seemed a bit cut back. Coffee every where was yuk. Not as good as before. Not as good as NCL in ...
Overview:
Royal Caribbean owes us a refund! The condition of the vessel and subtle changes made to cut costs has demonstrated that the company is more concerned with the bottom line that in pleasing its customers.
Embarkation:
We embarked at the Port of Galveston. TSA security seemed more rigorous than ever before. We were never before subjected to a full body pat down, even though my ...
Hallways and cabins smell very bad. The smell of foul odors and dirty carpet. Filthy carpet. Elevators falling apart. Extremely outdated cabins. They made our beds and gave us new towels but never changed our sheets. We knew this because there was a stain on one of the pillow covers and we were suspicious so we said nothing and of course that pillowcase stayed on the whole trip. Food availability ...
This is our "home" port so we sail from here a lot. This was our 4th trip on Liberty and I was so disappointed. She has seen way better days. Our room was the smallest ever, torn curtains, tears on upholstered walls, stains on carpets, broken glass shelves in bathroom and missing shelves. Drawers all needed repair and the beds are starting to get a little worn and hard. Only 2 outlets? I ...
We were going to travel with old friends but they had to cancel at the last minute so traveling on this itinerary was no big deal, we have done it before several times. We always like meeting new people and finding new things to do and like the Liberty (this was our 5th trip on her) so off we went.
We stayed in Seabrook, a smaller City north of Galveston, however only about 30 minutes from the ...
We were on Liberty of the Seas January 12-19, 2020. We had only been on one cruise before, last May, on the Harmony. We had originally reserved an inside promenade view room but won the royal up bid to get a balcony. After getting on the ship, I was really grateful for the upgrade. We really enjoyed the balcony.
We stayed in Room 6628. Our cabin steward was James. This was his last ...
Booked cruise with several friends,
We took a 7 days Liberty of the Seas cruise. Roatan, costa maya, and Cozumel were are poets of call.
Nothing special about any of these ports.
Sadly these ports and the excursions were pretty disappointing.
The cruise food was just ok.

Service WAS good everywhere.
Ship was so-so.
Casino, was sup-par not a variety of ...
