Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Regal Princess

My college aged son and I did the Western Caribbean itinerary for his college term break. It was my 3rd and his 4th time on Regal Princess, and we are both Platinum Status. We flew into Houston Hobby on late Friday night and stayed at the nearby TownePlace Suites, which is a Marriott brand with a mini kitchen. They offered a free Lyft from the airport and were clean and modern. We ordered ...

We sailed on the Regal Princess out of Galveston last week in a BW obstructed extended balcony. there was no obstruction looking straight out. The room was clean, comfortable and the cabin steward did a fine job. We made all 3 port stops and had beautiful weather. Smooth sailing the entire week. The MDR food continues to disappoint. The quality in meats, butter, cheesecake etc is so much ...

We wanted a different experience than last years Ruby princess cruise. same month, same ports(sorta). similar ships. Wanted a better experience with service than last year. we paid extra for the Reserve class. we got it. It only provides dining room service. nothing else. they say you get a better location balcony but i didnt see any difference in that. Service in the dining room was ...

Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Princess is our second preferred cruise line. Our cabin was one of the best ever, nice and roomy. Wish they still included the turn down service, chocolates, and towel animals. These are a nice special touch. Weakest link was FOOD and service in Symphony dining room. Wait staff was not attentive, slow the provide drinks and refills, orders were wrong. Breakfast ...

This was our 11th cruise, but our first cruise out of Galveston although we live less than 100 miles from Galveston. We originally scheduled a regular balcony cabin and bid to upgrade to a Reserve Class Mini-Suite. We also paid for Princess Plus to get the perks offered like drinks, Wi-Fi, and gratuities. We spent the night before the cruise in a local hotel, the Best Western Plus Seawall Inn & ...

Changes are noticeable on my first cruise after covid… the personal attention is missing. All was good but not what it used to be. 1. State room attention limited(wanted to shampoo carpet while i was onshore) no personal shampoos etc. Daily room clean up limited 2. Room service - food was just not as good & limited. 3. Restaurant -i enjoyed most of my dinners ...

We usually cruise every year with a church related group, usually to the Caribbean. This was our first post COVID. This was our 5th cruise all with Princess, 3 of them previously were on Crown class ships so we knew what to expect. We had stateroom E726, a mini suite on Emerald Deck toward the stern. It was a good location as one set of stairs down you were on the promenade deck, and some of ...

This was our 24th. cruise overall and 10th. on Princess. We stick with Princess now because they offer a classic cruise experience without all the theme park trappings and children running wild. And their staff is outstanding, well trained, and eager to help. From the room steward to the buffet staff to the main dining room waiters, everyone was friendly and efficient. Even the executive and ...

This has been our first cruise since COVID-19 on a Princess Cruise. We have previously sailed on the Grand and Caribbean Princess (similar ships to the Ruby Princess) and the Disney Wonder. We sailed in two cabins, one with my mom and two daughters and one with my wife, our two sons and me. Getting on and off the Ship: Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze if you input your ...

I have FCC left over from Covid cancelations so it is a use it or loose it deal. I wanted to try Galveston port which I understand Princess has recently returned to. Last time here was 2007 for me. So I booked everything rom airfare to hotel, transfers, cruise, Princess plus package, no insurance. Flew from Chicago Saturday, day before. Went to luggage, man with a Princess sign waiting for me also ...
