This was my 6th Cruise, 1st on Carnival. Previous cruises have been mostly on RCI and Celebrity, so admittedly, I was a little biased coming into this cruise, however, being a New Year's cruise and traveling with friends, the value was unbeatable (close to $400 less than RCI's Liberty on the same dates, different Itinerary).

We normally cruise on Celebrity, but chose this cruise to be with friends who have kids under the age of 10. This was our second Wonder Christmas cruise and we loved it again. Not having children of our own, we love watching all of the children dress in costumes and parade around meeting and greeting their favorite Disney characters all over the ship. The ship was nice. Not as nice I was expecting for a newer ship. It was clean and the decor was ok just not my style.
We had two cabins and the service was great in both. Loved the balcony. Deck 7 was very peaceful and no noise from above or below.

The food was great -- steaks were amazing! Our wait staff was super busy, but continued to be attentive to our needs. The ship is beautiful and well kept. Our granddaughters and family were with us and the girls had lots of fun participating in youth activities.

We had a great cruise. Galveston has streamlined the embark experience with minimal lines and check ins. We arrived during our appointment window and were on the ship in less than 30 minutes.
