Great value for money

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

Embarkation was very smooth. Even though I got to port two hours before my check in time, I was allowed to go in the "early" line, which was very quick, and I was on board much earlier than expected. I waited for a while in the Ivanhoe theater, and then headed up to deck 11 around 12:45 to see how things were progressing. The Spa staff called me over, offered me a comfy seat, and checked on my ...

This was our first cruise and we decided to go without the kids. We both had the best time! The ship was very clean and everyone on board was incredibly nice and considerate. We left out of Galveston which is not far from where we live in Houston. Parking was a breeze because we booked beforehand. We were about 30 minutes early from our actual arrival time but they let us on anyhow. Checking ...

This was chosen as our family New Years Cruise for 2018. There were 14 of us- 3 under 5 years and the rest adults. After reading some not very flattering reviews of Carnival ships, we had extremely low expectations and were pleasantly surprised! There were some weak spots but all in all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was okay to good most days. The cabin stewards could ...

We had a terrible customer service experience on the Carnival Valor. If they had shown a lick of professionalism/concern we would maybe bump our review up to a 3, but there are few places online to review Carnival cruise line and the central corporation just doesn’t give a hoot. It’s really unfortunate, because we would have considered taking more cruises with Carnival but because of the actions ...

The hubby and I decided on this cruise because we were looking for relaxation and I wanted a Christmas themed cruise. This was our second cruise and the first through Carnival. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and the holiday show was entertaining. We went to a few comedy shows as well as the regular shows. TJ the cruise director was hilarious! We ate in the dining room every night ...

Embarkation was fast and efficient, debarkation was a bit tedious but after all it’s the end of your vacation. Buffet on Lido deck has 3 omelet stations for breakfast and for lunch offers Pizza, Burgers, BBQ and the buffet standards, all excellent! Below in the dining room food was very good, service was only pretty good as waiter William seemed to disappear for long periods of time. Luckily ...

The price was right to take my son and his family to experience their first. The embarkation was great and smooth, especially when i need two wheelchair assist. But thet disembarkation was terrible, they left us in the Ivahoe Theater, until almost all the passenger were gone waiting for the staff member to push the wheelchair. Ive been cruising for 13 years and it never happened before. The ...

Great vacation. Service was excellent. This was my daughter's 12th Birthday. They went above and beyond. They treated her like a princess. Sent her treats to the room and made the trip memorable. And of course..... Now she wants a cruise every year for her birthday. This was our first time to buy the FTTF pass and we will do it every time now. I was shocked how fast things went. From the ...
