Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Magic

I have read several people's review of this ship. Vacation is what you make of it, enjoy yourself or hate it and be miserable your who life. Most people will turn anything around and make the worst out of any situation. I had the time of my life, and plan on going back every year. I enjoyed every bit of this ship. The magic is truly a magical ship. I also plan on being a visitor on every ...

This was the worst Carnival cruise ever

We sailed in 2016 of June. There was really no activities like other cruises before this one. No activities going on the ship. Other than pools, movies, and just a few shows. For this to be one of the new ship it was a bore. The only excitement was at dinner and someone called in and said someone jumped off the boat, which turned out to be a prank. But carnival took it real and had other ship ...

We sailed with three young children (two three year olds and a seven year old.) We chose to have connecting OV cabins (category 6A) and were so glad that we chose to do so. The kids had their room, and Mom and Dad had theirs with a connecting door so there were no worries. Having two bathrooms was also a plus. Embarkation was no big deal. We had a check-in time of 12-12:30. We arrived at ...

Just Mediocre

This was my 8th cruise and my first on Carnival. I can say it was exactly what I expected...mediocre. I choose this cruise to spend time with my 17 year old daughter during spring break but was aware of Carnival's reputation of being a family cruise line with modest amenities. Embarkation was long and tedious. Line after line just to get on the ship. It took another long wait just to get up ...

The Home Town Buffet of Cruise Lines

This was my first cruise on Carnival but my 7th cruise in all. I found embarkation & debarkation process both chaotic. They are long tedious affairs with multiple long lines at each occurrence. Don't bother with the walk off with your luggage since it seems half the ship did that and didn't expedite the process. My daughter and I shared a balcony state room and found it to be very basic but ...

This was our 3rd Cruise on Carnival and 8th cruise over all. It has been 10 years since the last cruise. I forgot how much we missed it. We had two daughters with us ages 15 and 17. I will start by saying I was a little leery about going on Carnival because of many things I read about party ship etc. I also remembered the 2 Carnival cruises and they seemed a little more wild then the other ...

Cruising is such a wonderful time. This was our 10th Cruise but the first as a family. It was our 4th Carnival Cruise and we have done 6 on RCI. I have 5 children from the ages 14-25 so 7 of us. We started by picking where we wanted to go then we went through the different cruises. We narrowed it down to magic because it worked for us. We did purchasing the Faster to the Fun pass which I ...

We chose this cruise line and ship because of where it was going. This was our 5th. cruise and the ship was one of the worst ones. The casino is placed in an area where you can smell the smoke from too many places. The piano bar is down the hall and you can smell it all the way in there. They have the coffee bar right next to it also. There was a whole hallway we didn't want to use because of the ...

Unfortunately, that is an apt description. While Walmart has its qualities, it does not have high quality service or products. I realize that the phrase is sometimes used in reference to the class of the customers of both, I am referring to the quality and service. It was ok. (but a huge disappointment from my previous cruise on the Freedom). The food was ok. The service was ok. Giving me two of ...

Our first cruise........... We went with friends who had cruised before and that was a big help! No children with us this time. Actually there weren't many on the ship at this time of year. Our only complaint was embarkation and disembarkation (Galveston TX). Way too many people and way too much waiting all in one place! I think half the problem was people who were clueless. This process ...
