We set sail upon the Carnival Elation in December and it was a very different experience from my first two cruises. We were a group of 6 (ranging from 24-63) so having a variety of different accommodations, entertainment, and fun was needed. Upon reaching the embarkation point, everyone looked like ants who just had rain poured on their ant bed. It was the most disorganized embarkation I've ...

What a ride!! 1st time cruise went far beyond expectations. The ELATION is a beautiful ship. We left North Texas on Sunday a day early because of an ice storm. We had till Monday to get there so I wanted to go early to make sure we had plenty of time. Saw many wrecks on the way down to Galveston around Dallas but after passing Ennis it was clear sailing except for the Drizzle to Galveston. It ...

BACKGROUND: This was my 5th, and my husband's 4th cruise. We have cruised on the Destiny, Conquest, Jubilee, just me on the Holiday, and now the Elation. The Elation is currently sailing the Ecstasy itinerary since the Ecstasy has been chartered to FEMA. We sailed to Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico. We have no children and are in our mid-thirties. We are fairly conservative, but enjoy having a good ...

We sailed on the Elation out of Galveston Feb 20-25, 2006. We made our reservations directly though Carnival on January 5th, 2006, so between the last minute pricing and our Interline discount for airline/air cargo employees we paid a ridiculously low rate. We flew into Houston Sunday morning from Chicago (where it was 2 degrees when we got on the plane) and rented a car rather than take shuttle ...

BACKGROUND INFO-This was my wife's and I fourth cruise and our six year old daughters second cruise. Our last cruise was last October, and I'm now hooked. I work for an airline, and Carnival gives outstanding deals called "interline" to airline/military personal. TRAVEL TO PORT-We flew in from PHX-HOU on day of travel and used Galveston Shuttle for transportation round trip from port. For two ...

DH and I just returned from the 2/25/06 sailing from Galveston. We were first time cruisers, so everything was new to us. Galveston had Mardi Gras parades at the time the ship was loading, and we had a little problem getting to our parking (at EZ Cruise). Finally found it, and apparently others had trouble too, as the ship was held and departed an hour later than scheduled. I thought that was ...

This was our fifth cruise, third on Carnival. We booked this cruise just two weeks before sailing date after finding a great rate on-line thru our regular travel agency. We drove to Galveston on Sunday - stayed at the Hilton on Galveston Beach with Hilton Honors points and took advantage of their free parking & shuttle service. The weather was absolutely raw on Sunday and Monday - had no ...
