This was our 3rd experience with Carnival, on this ocasion on Carnival Magic, a big ship with everything possible to have Fun 24 hrs a day. Our cabin located on deck 8 was OK and our steward was very kind and attentive to every detail. Surprisingly the cabin had a lot of noise from the external Spas and bars located below on deck 5 where guests were "having a noisy fun", at the beginning it was ...
We booked this suite because we were sailing with our two daughters and their families (total of four adults and six children) and wanted to provide a private space where we could all hang out together. Unfortunately, one family didn't make the trip. My wife and I did enjoy the extra space provide by this quiet suite. It had a nice balcony, a living room, two vanity area, three large closets and a ...
My wife and I just came back from a 5 day cruise on Magic. We have been on 12 cruises from the Galveston and Houston ports and have enjoyed all of them. Two months ago we went on the Emerald Princess for 7 days. Emerald and Magic are in the same price range so I will give a comparison:
Emerald goes from the Houston port .....this is a newer, better, and easier port to travel from.....advantage to ...
FOG!!! Delayed getting on the ship and again getting off the ship!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! This happens more often than they will admit. To get on the ship we were delayed for more than 8 hours and put into this huge room with chairs and TV's. We stayed there for hours!!! Were not offered any food or water!!! There were so many families with little children that I felt terrible for. Apparently Texas and ...
I've read many positive and negative reviews here and while there were minor problems throughout the week, they were typical of travel and the overall experience was excellent.
We were traveling as a group of 10 and chose early dining as our daily meet-up. The Southern Lights dining experience was incredible and Reynaldo and his crew took excellent care of us. They remembered our likes and ...
Food on the Carnival Magic was cold. This for every meal. I am generally not that picky about my food but this food was bad. All six people in my group thought the food was cold and not very good. Definitely not up to standards of other Carnival cruises I have taken.
Disembarkation was a nightmare for ports of call. Carnival was disorganized for port excursions and did not have elevators going to ...
This was our 5th Carnival cruise in 8 years. We got our feet wet on a 5 day ecstasy cruise and fell in love. Next three on Conquest. All three were good, but it is amazing how quickly the lady showed her age over four years. Took a two year break and set sail on two year old Magic on April 4th. I'll try to be as informative as possible with this review!
First, make sure you pre-book your parking ...
Our family cruise was in celebration of my granddaughter and nephew son's high school graduation. There were 8 in our party, 4 adults, 2 graduates, an 11 and 7 year old.
We drove to Galveston from North Texas, picking up my nephew and his children at Houston Hobby (flying in from Chattanooga, TN).
We spent Saturday at the Hampton Inn Houston/Texas City. This was a great location and the rooms ...
First of all, be warned. If you plan on anything other than the meals and water, tea or juice, then your trip is only half payed for by embarkation time. Knowing what I know now, Carnival is the king of the extra and up charge. So you've only begun to pay for your trip by boarding unless you intend on doing nothing.
Our waiters were great. As well as our room stewards. If nothing else the ship ...
*Disclaimer* This is a long but honest review by an experienced cruiser. If you want someone to just blow a little sunshine up your Bermuda shorts, go on to the next review. Having said that, this was our 6th cruise, and our 5th with Carnival. We have had descending levels of experience with Carnival, but had high hopes for the "Magic", since she was the newest ship in the fleet at the time of ...
