This was only our second cruise, first was an Alaskan cruise on Princess. My husband and I along with our son and daughter in law booked our cruise on the Magic Eversen Bevelle was our cruise director, he's great! Funny, very involved, just a great director The staff, from our room steward to the folks in the dinning rooms were the best! Hard working, always greeting you with a smile, fast, ...

This was my 6th, 7 Day cruise and it was very good. The food, in both the Main Dining Room and throughout the ship was way better than expected. The staff was fantastic, comedy club was funny and the ports were great. Dolphin "Swim" (not encounter) in Freeport is highly recommended. I also purchased an airport transfer from Hobby (Houston) airport - very easy transition and was one of the first on ...

Background: Wife and I are in our 40's and have cruised on Carnival Ecstasy in 2009. This time we took our 13yo son and 9yo daughter. None of us have issues which require us to need special assistance or dietary restrictions. We had a cove balcony room. We flew Southwest Airlines from Tulsa to Houston on Saturday. Upon arrival we hired a "Super Shuttle" to drive us to Galveston ($144 for 4 ...

Great Time on the Magic

We cruised the Magic to Key West, and the Bahamas week of September 13th 2015. Overall great cruise - like the Magic's lay out - it never felt crowed - if you go to dinner or the buffet at pike times than of course you will wait in a line - no way to get around that on any cruise. The Buffet food was ok -- On sea days the Magic had Oceanside BBQ from 12:00 - 2:30 - I got out there right at 12:00 ...

We stayed in 7463(aft facing balcony) and my friends stayed in 7449. We prefer this location so my husband can go get early coffee and I can nap as the ship sails. The weather didn't leave me too many opportunities but we still had fun. Got more use out of the Red Frog since we had friends to play dominoes with. Food was fine, love the Italian restaurant at lunch and the Steakhouse on the first ...

We had sailed the Magic before in January, and enjoyed the cruise overall so when friends said they were sailing again, we decided to join them. Unfortunately our experience was not the same as previously. The service levels and food quaility were inconsistent. First time in our crusing experience that we had a meal that was inedible. But that probably shouldn't have been a surprise, with over ...

My Fifth Cruise, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!!

Been cruising with Carnival since 2003 and over the past few years I watched Carnival hit the skids, but still kept my faith that this cruise line would get it right and they did. So my fifth cruise gets a big WTG Carnival! I was very impressed with the Magic. Embarkation? No big deal. Spent a lovely morning, early afternoon strolling the ocean boardwalk, ate lunch at Bubba Gumps of Galveston, ...

Here are some of the good and some of the bad from this carnival cruise, it was fun, how can it not be, but it did not meet expectations. This is not my first cruise, but my first with Carnival. I will have to do some hard thinking before I decided I want to give carnival another chance. If I were going to sum up the difference between Carnival and other lines (I have sailed Princess and Royal ...

This is a large ship

We went with some cruise virgins and while they were skeptical they would be bored, after two days they were hooked. Compared to some other ships this one is crowded so there are lines (10-20 min) for the anytime dining but not so much for assigned seating. A nice feature of this ship is that the 5th deck wraps completely around the ship allowing for walking without interruption or steps. We did ...

Won't cruise on Carnival Magic again

I have been on several cruises- so decided to book a cruise for my Mom's 75th birthday and a sisters 50th birthday. There were 13 members of the family, most had not cruised before and saved for a year to take this cruise with my Mom. Two of those members were in wheelchairs. What a disappointment! Once we were onboard, the elevators were few and far between because the crew was getting luggage ...
