Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Dream

We chose this cruise out of Galveston, within a reasonable drive from Austin. Also, the itinerary to Key West and Bahamas was enticing as we'd never been to those ports. Was a very easy boarding process and we had a great balcony cabin mid ship. Overall the trip was great with wonderful service and the food never disappoints on Carnival. I was concerned with the ship's age, however it was well ...

This is my 6th cruise. I have previously cruised disney, RCL, and carnival. This is my honest opinion and I added in my personal helpful hints. :) This is my 2nd time on the Dream. It is beautiful ship and so easy to navigate. It was my daughter and I, 18 years old on this Thanksgiving cruise. 8 days with stops in Key West, Freeport, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau. Service: ***** AMAZING, ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The bulk of the itinerary was to visit the Southern Caribbean. I have never been. I also have never been to Galveston, TX before. The idea of new destinations appealed to me. I booked the first week bookings became available. The marketing described the ship as more space per passenger and a lower crew to passenger ratio. Both statements were accurate for the most part. In an effort to ...

We so looked forward to Prima. As massive NCL fans very loyal to the brand, we couldn't wait to get onboard. Our first impressions were..wow. the Penrose Atrium was so fresh and had that new car feeling. Our initial look over the ship was very positive. The stateroom (Balcony BC Cat) was beautiful, felt spacious and luxurious. The bathroom was also a delight. After our eleven night cruise we drew ...

We chose this cruise because it was a nine day, sailed from Galveston, and we had never been on this ship. We have sailed on 25 cruises with four cruise lines. This cruise was special because we have not been able to do much since March 2020. The embarkation, disembarkation and muster drill were AWESOME. Appointments for embarkation made it less stressful and very organized. Disembarkation ...

First Cruise on Carnival - Great Itinerary, So-So Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We normally cruise Royal. We've been wanting to see the Bahamas and like departing from Galveston because we can drive there easily, so we thought we would try Carnival. We traveled with four other families for a total of 15 people. Carnival does some things better. We liked the food, the kids club, and the entertainment were all impressive compared to Royal. The ship layout is horrible though. ...

Great Cruse - Not a good room

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We really enjoyed our cruse on the Carnival Freedom. The crew was very nice and everything was very clean. The main pool and water slides are also fun. The ship is not huge so the number of people on board is not crazy. So the lines are not to crazy. If you happen to go to their private island, Half Moon Cay the line to get back on the tender will be very long at the end of the day. So either stay ...

Summary. We are a party of 10 cruising – 6 adults, 4 teenage girls. Overall positive experience, found the ship and staterooms to be clean, friendly staff overall. Enjoyed the restaurants over buffet. The crew works very hard and deserve the gratuities. Many pros/ cons and key recommendations to help plan your trip! First the positives: 1) Download and use the carnival app. It’s ...

Wonderful Cruise

We choose this cruise because it was stoping at the Bahamas and Keywest. First lets start by saying that this is one of Carnival older ships. The decor is outdated and the colors are dark. However, the ship was clean, the staff was friendly, and there was plenty to do. Out of all of the cruises Ive taken this one has had the best food so far I really enjoyed Guy's Burgers, deli, BBQ, and ...

My hubs and I typically cruise with RCI but, because we have exhausted all of the Royal Caribbean itineraries out of Galveston, we chose this cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival. We had only cruised with Carnival once before on a quick 4-night trip so we did not know exactly what to expect. We had heard that the Freedom was scheduled for dry dock shortly after our return so we expected a ship ...
