Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We so looked forward to Prima. As massive NCL fans very loyal to the brand, we couldn't wait to get onboard. Our first impressions were..wow. the Penrose Atrium was so fresh and had that new car feeling. Our initial look over the ship was very positive. The stateroom (Balcony BC Cat) was beautiful, felt spacious and luxurious. The bathroom was also a delight. After our eleven night cruise we drew ...

We chose The Prima for the ship. The itinerary was great, but, really we wanted the full Haven experience on The Prima. The Prima is a stunning ship. Elegance on each floor. Sadly, the Prima has issues. Day 1 - our carpet in our room was soaked, it squished as you walked between the bed and the bathroom. We reported this and we were told they took care of the issue. Day 2 - carpet soaked; ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Dream

We have taken a total of 11 cruises, both nearby and all around the world. This was our 4th with Carnival and will most likely be our last. For a short 3 to 8 day getaway, we liked the 3 hour drive to Galveston for boarding, but thankfully Princess and another line are servicing that area now. Carnival food was terrible food at the buffet, dining room, and I paid $84 extra at the steak restaurant ...

The lack of good service on this cruise was ridiculous! Workers pushing carts would plow you down if you didn’t get out of the way! Who ever shouted the loudest got served next at bars because there was no orderly que. The much-marketed Guy Fieri BBQ restaurant was closed most of the days of our cruise. The food in the buffet was horrible…it was over cooked or undercooked, meat or chicken was ...

Had a great time the service was great the ship was very clean the ship was full. Loved the excursions, had a wonderful time on each one, however the last four days on board we noticed a lot of people sneezing and coughing really thought nothing of it, until we started sneezing and coughing when we got home and self tested we discovered we had COVID we are fully vaccinated so our symptoms are not ...

Overcrowded everywhere on ship

Let me start by saying the staff on the ship is very friendly and helpful. The ship public areas and the cabins were very clean. I am also aware that there were over 3000 guests onboard, but Carnival did very little to utilize the ships size and public space to make the atmosphere less like a day at a ballpark than a cruise. (Deck 5 aft on the outside deck is probably the best place to get a ...

This was as described. Mostly Americans from the south on board. Very casual. Despite dining room dress code, people in shorts, bathing suits, and baseball hats. Lots of drinking and people complaining about being cut off after 15 drinks per day. People standing in the pools all day drinking. Hardly a mask in sight except the staff. I was not one of the smart few wearing one and I brought ...

This cruise was an anniversary gift from my wife, our fourth cruise together, all aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, and all leaving from Galveston, Texas. She chose this cruise because neither of us had ever been to Key West or the Bahamas so the destinations were high on our priority list. They cancelled the Key West stop a few weeks before we left. I know it wasn't Carnival's fault, but it wasn't ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

We chose this cruise because it was a nine day, sailed from Galveston, and we had never been on this ship. We have sailed on 25 cruises with four cruise lines. This cruise was special because we have not been able to do much since March 2020. The embarkation, disembarkation and muster drill were AWESOME. Appointments for embarkation made it less stressful and very organized. Disembarkation ...

First Cruise on Carnival - Great Itinerary, So-So Ship

We normally cruise Royal. We've been wanting to see the Bahamas and like departing from Galveston because we can drive there easily, so we thought we would try Carnival. We traveled with four other families for a total of 15 people. Carnival does some things better. We liked the food, the kids club, and the entertainment were all impressive compared to Royal. The ship layout is horrible though. ...
