Cruise review for MSC Meraviglia 19-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona Spain to Port Canaveral (9/24/2022 to 10/13/2022) Inside stateroom #8073.
Note: we only ate in the Market place buffet because the service in the dining rooms are so slow and the food choices in the dining room are very limited.
Note that we spoke to many passengers on this very long cruise that agree with our ...
A fall color cruise was a bucket list item. Unfortunately a hurricane stripped trees of fall colors in many ports. Prince Edward Island was damaged. It closed on our first leg but opened for the second. We booked and enjoyed a Green Gables tour even though damage was evident. Tree damage (almost as bad in Halifax and Sidney) didn't keep us from enjoying Alexander Graham Bell's house and the ...
We booked this 14 day cruise to Canada, America and Iceland in 2018 and the price was fantastic.
The ship is beautiful - no expense spared with regard to decor and furnishings etc. BUT it's too big and cold (no atmosphere). There is a huge problem with embarking and disembarking - long queues. In Halifax (Canada) only one gangway served approximately 4,000 passengers and we had to wait ...
This was my first and probably last MSC cruise.
It's a pity because the ship itself has some good points and the ports of call were fantastic.
We picked the ship up in Southampton along with what it turns out a lot of new crew who took a couple of days to come to terms with things.
Staff were very polite and willing to assist if possible.
We had a balcony cabin which was kept spotless ...
Selected this cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary so special occasion = the Yacht Club experience. I'm so glad I chose the YC as the rest of the ship was just way too big for me.
One of the reasons I paid so much for YC was priority embarkation and disembarkation. Unfortunately there was no priority embarkation at Kiel, despite what I'd been told beforehand and it really was ...
For clarity, I was traveling in the Yacht Club area on the MSC Meraviglia, so the review concerns rather this part of the ship.
Ship:
The ship is beautiful and impressive. It has a modern but elegant interior. Unfortunately the ship is too big and more importantly extremely overcrowded. In the evening it is difficult to find a free table in a bar. There is noise and bustle in public areas. ...
We boarded in Copenhagen for a 7-night Baltic itinerary that visited Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, and Kiel. All four cities were wonderful.
The ship was great. It was always clean, didn’t seem overly crowded.
I did find that Europeans were pushy and rude and also had little to no manners at the buffet area and at the elevators.
Our room steward Putra was excellent, He always ...
With 4 cruises behind us and having visited many countries we decided we would like to visit Northern Europe. MSC was the cheapest option as Royal Caribbean and Norweigan were a lot more expensive so we decided to try this option,
we were not very pleased with a few things, the ship is very new so this itself was fabulous however as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"..
We spoke ...
This cruise was part of a package we’d signed up for. 7 nights departing from Copenhagen to see the fjords and return to Copenhagen via Germany.
We should still be on board with three nights remaining but we disembarked early. Some people obviously love cruises. We didn’t.
We found the number of people onboard very overwhelming especially when eating in the Buffett section of the ship. The ...
This ship was amazing and beautiful. Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and very nice cabins. But, the food was the downside. This was my first cruise with MSC. We've cruised many times on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity and Princess. The food on MSC was no comparison to these other lines. It was a disppointment in the main dining room and buffet. As spactacular as this ship is, ...
