MSC is a cruise line like no other.
If you’ve been on other cruise lines you won’t like MSC
Make sure you bring Kleenex.
Bring Toilet unless you liked single ply paper.
If you prepay for a dining package, you’ll be presented with a restricted menu.
If you use a c-pak unite bring an extension cord,

The cruise, booked at the last minute, was a bargain, especially because the solo supplement was minimal. I was hoping that the solo experience would be okay, but that it really was not and the cruise line did almost nothing to make it a good experience.

The Meraviglia is a huge ship and the Yacht Club is featured as a "ship within a ship". While there were many excellent experiences from sailing in this class, there were other elements that definitely need work.

Long delays to get off ship. No organization whatsoever with lines. Stood in line for a total of 5 hours to get on and off the ship at newport, with no explanation or apology. We had only an hour in newport because of it. There were tender boats in newport. First, the good things about our recent cruise on the MSC Meraviglia.
The ship is beautiful and clean. The room was very nice. It had everything we needed. The only complaint was the strong odor coming from the shower. It was a very strong and a pungent chemical-type odor. If you kept the shower door closed you could not smell it.

I'd tried YC for the first time on a 7 day cruise in February, so new what to expect. This was DHs firs time in the top decks, and the food, service and views didn't disappoint.
