Infinite Balcony is a major FAIL

Review for Celebrity Edge to Caribbean - Western

The ship is beautiful. The cabin is luxurious. The food was great and the entertainment above average. The Infinite Balcony is a gimmick that I consider a TOTAL FAIL. I am an early riser while my wife likes to sleep a bit later. It was impossible for me to have a cup of coffee on the balcony because of the high noise factor in converting from the extended (closed balcony) configuration ...

After many, many scheduled cruises and cancellations, with NCL, I finally gave up and decided to sail Celebrity, a line I hadn't cruised in a decade. I found an S1 Sky Suite to suit my needs. I have sailed 25 cruises. This one is in the top 3! Beautiful ship! Service was over the tops. Everyone was glad to see us, and sincerely greeted us wherever we were on the ship. They made it seem ...

From the time we arrived at our Hyatt Place late on Friday evening before our Saturday cruise, the experience was wonderful. We spent the morning before the cruise and headed to Publix a half a block a way and picked up a few bottles of good wine. Then went to Gilberts in the same shopping center for an incredible burger before being our cruise. The Hotel shuttle ($7/person) arrived at 1pm ...

A cruise in a Edge Sky suite that was almost as good as one in a Viking Penthouse Veranda and about the same price per day. Cabin was a good size, bathroom was nice. My wife liked the ship's decor style, I didn't it. It was the opposite of form follows function. We don't care for luxury shops, "art" auctions or a casino. Entertainment was good. Coffee shops and bars were nice and ...

This was my first time on the Edge, and I’m afraid I’m now spoiled and won’t want to cruise on any thing else! The ship is simply beautiful and the service was impeccable. Knowing that most of the passengers and all the staff was fully vaccinated put me at ease and I felt perfectly safe. The limited capacity was great. We never had to wait for anything and with more room to move around we were ...

Our first cruise since May 2019. Not our favorite itinerary, but an opportunity to see a new ship on one of our favorite lines. Leaving from Fort Lauderdale was also a plus. The ship is a beauty with many new features for Celebrity. The app makes all things so simple: checking in, health questionnaire, muster/safety info, dinner menus and reservations, activities onboard, shore excursions, etc. ...

June 26, 2021---Celebrity Edge—the first cruise ship to depart U.S. shores as part of the industry’s return to cruising. 7-nights from Fort Lauderdale to Costa Maya, Cozumel and the Bahamas. Sharing insights from this historic voyage. Talking about some things that are different. And what may be familiar to cruisers as we return to sailing. “Welcome back!” “It’s so good to ...

What a great way to restart cruising in the US. We are more Princess people than Celebrity people but Celebrity went above and beyond with their service and taking steps to keep everyone safe. They run a great operation. Everything was smooth. Service was spirited. The crew gave 110% every day. The ship is immaculate. Food was very good, albeit traditional (we would have liked to see more ...

My sunset verandah is just beautiful. The balcony is really large and what a view we have. I can’t begin to tell you how happy the staff is to see us all. I am so glad I decided to come on this cruise. Everyone I have met and I have met a lot of from F&B, casino hostess Adrianna, cruise director Lauren, all so friendly and amazing. Martini bar and who do we meet but food and beverage and ...

In south Florida for a relative's wedding and decided to cruise with brother and his family who has sailed on Royal Caribbean for several years. This was cruise number 18 for me but have only cruised on Carnival and Princess until this cruise. Embarkation- was in a junior suite so went to the suite line- very fast and we were on the ship in 30 minutes. The Ship- oh my gosh, it was lovely! ...
