Excellent Cruising Experience but can and should be improved...

Review for Odyssey of the Seas to Caribbean - Western

I did not selected this cruise. It was chosen by my partner and I respected his decision. The ship is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Due to the Pandemic, the ship had only 1,300 passengers while their capacity is almost 4,000. The dining rooms were great but not the food. Being a seafood fan I expected shrimps, lobster and crabs but was disappointed. Crabs were never an option on ...

GREAT TO BE BACK

Chose this cruise because of the ship. the newest in the fleet of our favorite cruise line, Royal Carib. The ship was amazing in itself, but with the low capacity at this time (approx 28%) and the friendliness of the crew and staff, it made it more special. We went to Coco Cay for the afternoon and it was empty so not too many water slides were open. That and the fact there were only 60 under ...

Malt Shop Cruise Bonanza

Review for Nieuw Amsterdam to Caribbean - Western

This was our third cruise, and first on a Holland Ship. It was awesome...from the weather, entertainment (you must book a Malt Shop if you are in that age group), the crew, and the food. The buffet and regular dining could not have been better. In addition we ate at the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto Restaurants, which in my opinion were a bit disappointing. A special shout out to the crew...always ...

Mystery solved, they bake fresh rye bread !

This is my 35th RCCL cruise on the newer Odyssey OTS,. I was having lunch in the Windjammer buffet, and they have a large variety of baked breads and rolls, but no rye bread was displayed. Being original from NY, I enjoy a good deli sandwich on rye bread. I happened to see my section head waiter, Jayson, from the MDR and asked him why they did not have any rye bread. He said he would check. Later ...

Odyssey of the Seas - Grand Loft Suite

Originally booked on Independence and transferred to Odyssey after the COVID shutdown. We were extremely excited to be on the newest ship and had never sailed on a Quantum Class so I am probably making some unfair comparisons - **Note, I'm using the word "comparison" vs. "complaint". Embarkation: Very smooth - As Star Class, we had a quick line and we were in the Suite Lounge in a matter ...

We wanted to try a sky suite so we picked Edge as we got a good price. We loved the room, location was great. Bedding was very comfortable. Our Room Stewart was great, anything we needed he assisted! Our room was always spotless! We are now hooked and booked 4 more. We loved the beautiful Retreat lounge. We utilized it many times. The crew on the entire ship was amazing. Such a happy bunch. We ate ...

Beautiful New Ship

We are Diamond Level and sail on Royal Caribbean as often as we can--usually every 4-6weeks prior to the pandemic. This was our first time on the new Odyssey of the Seas. It is a beautiful ship, chock full of exciting new activities and venus, especially geared to kids and teens. Lots of entertainment for adults, though. We are Casino Royale lovers and this ship has all new machines, the latest ...

We booked this cruise having experienced the second sailing of the Edge post pandemic. Watching and following the first sailing of the Edge and the rave reviews we went on line to the Celebrity web -site and grabbed a cancelled CS in the Retreat, the last cabin 48hours before sailing. Having waited and waited, as everyone else, we were so Taken with the lower capacity sailings, the service, and ...

We chose the Celebrity Edge to fit the time. This was only our 3rd cruise (2009 Carnival Legend & 2014 Celebrity Reflection.) We knew Celebrity would be fantastic and loved the videos of Edge we saw on YouTube. The reality was far better than the hype. The ship is stunningly beautiful and has a number of new features that suited us well. Our Room: We booked an Infinite Veranda, which is ...

Celebrity has the best experience at sea in these post-Covid times

This is a long, log-style review of the Celebrity Edge sailing of 10-2-21. For the summary just scroll to the bottom. We left our home in Stuart at about 9:00 for our 11:30-12:00 noon embarkation appointment. We had a leisurely drive down I-95 to Dania Beach where we parked at Park by the Ports, arriving at about 10:45. The car was parked, luggage loaded into the van, unloaded at the ...
