Simply Princess, Nice But not Extraordinary

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Royal Princess

I have been in 15 cruises on various cruise lines and have always found Princess to be a favorite because of the good food, service and general atmosphere. Embarkation: Fast and Easy. Almost too quick. Felt rushed from security to boarding in less than 15 minutes. First time I didn’t even have to show credit card. They used the one from online registration. Muster Drill: Long, thorough, and ...

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Crown Princess

We sailed on a seven day Western Caribbean Cruise which immediately followed the "cruise to no where." As such, the Crown Princess just completed its 48 hour sanitation and cleaning. Embarkation - We arrived the night before the cruise and stayed at the Embassy Suites near Port Everglades. Ended up with free transportation from the hotel to the Port, arriving at the Terminal at approximately ...

Before I give the review, we are very much Go with the Flow cruisers. There is always something that's going to happen that may upset you, but you are on a cruise ship to have fun! We booked a five day Princess cruise for various reasons. One, we had sailed on the Ruby early last year and enjoyed that very much. The Crown is a sister ship. Two, we were taking my 19 year old daughter and her ...

First ever sailing on the Allure as UK winners

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Allure of the Seas

We were lucky enough to win this preview cruise as the UK winners of the Reporters of the Seas competition and felt priveledged to experience such a wonderful ship. I must admit I had wondered whether the ship being so large would be crude and ugly but not at all. We felt that the Allure of the Seas is an attractive, well designed and spacious ship that has something for the whole family. In fact ...

Surprisingly Classy!

Wow! Where do you begin? My pre cruise expectations were that Allure would just be an overhyped, scaled up version of RCL's other ships I had experienced (Mariner, Explorer, Independence). How wrong I was. It is as if RCL has taken all the best bits from the development of resort size ships and enhance them in a more sophisticated setting (I never imagined referring to Allure as sophisticated!). ...

I must confess to have been stressing big time prior to my cruise. Due to work circumstances I had to fly out the same day from the UK (something which I absolutely hate doing) on a flight that arrived in Miami at 520pm for a 0900pm departure. Did not leave much room for error, especially as we had to get across from MIA to FLL in the rush hour, nevertheless thanks to Virgin, RCCL and ...

MSC Poesia is poetry on the seas

MSC POESIA REVIEW We were just on the MSC Poesia (pronounced Poh eh see ya) for an overnight to check out the ship, the food and the service. What follows is my review: The first thing that you notice when you get on board is that the ship is GORGEOUS! One of the prettiest that I have ever seen. When you embark on the ship, you are greeted with white glove service. On many ships, you must wait ...

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Beyond her sheer size, there were many attributes to this ship that I found impressive - and some that I was surprised by. For example, I expected to be overwhelmed not only by the distances that would have to be covered in moving from place to place, but just in trying to remember where all the points of interest - restaurants, lounges, showrooms, shops, rides, activity areas - were located. ...

Great Fitness Ship!

First off, this was my first cruise ever...keep that in mind when you read my newbie opinions. The Oasis is a huge ship and we spent a LOT of time walking. Our cabin was the last port aft cabin. I actually lost a few pounds and never went near the fitness center. And that was on a non-revenue cruise where most restaurants and all drinks were free. I definitely walked off all my meals and other ...

Off the Oasis yesterday(Nov 29th) and would like to add my input to the many reviews and comments out there on the internet..For the most part, every venue and area of the ship has been addressed and by now most of you know what to expect. This is just my personal opinion of my short time aboard. We woke up Friday morning and looked out at the port from our hotel(Hilton Marina--from our tower ...
