Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Island Princess

This was our 2nd time on Island Princess. Overall it was a wonderful cruise. Cruise Director, Calli Smit and his team were outstanding especially Sandi and Heather and Mattie. The only downer were minor and had to do with food. The gravy and other sauces were watery. The noon-time pizza in Sabatinis left much to be desired. The matre d in Sabinitins need a class on being a congenial host. ...

This is not to be taken as a criticism of anyone on the ship.  I think the problem starts on land. It's long, not complete, and it happened to real people, 8 adults and 2 children. This 17 day cruise through the Panama Canal and up to Vancouver on the Coral Princess was to be a perfect family vacation. My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, her 70th birthday, and my 75th, all ...

FLL to VAN repositioning

Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Zuiderdam

Zuiderdam is great ship and we enjoyed ourselves on the 22 day repositioning. This was our longest cruise to date and we did not have a 'nothing to do' day. Embarkation (disembarkation was much better) was a bit slow due to having a gastric infection with small # of passengers on the previous group requiring additional cleaning, but a glass of champagne at dinner was part of the apology for the ...

Island Princess - Ft. Lauderdale - Vancouver Departing April 29, 2011First, allow me to mention Continental Airlines which we used to fly from Vancouver, BC Canada to Ft. Lauderdale via Houston. It was awful! I think sardines in a can have more shoulder room than people on a Continental flight. We left close to on time from Vancouver which was good. Vancouver must be a prime spot for the ...

Well, I did this once and CC sent it back as it was one big paragraph. Let's try again as I really have something to say. I have read reviews on this cruise that were negative coming from the San Diego group that got on for 4 days for $199 ...... well, we were on this ship for the entire duration and you'll our reviews are 5 stars. First of all, embarkation in Ft. Lauderdale was so organized and ...

Overall, this was an excellent experience. Never in a million years did we expect to be cruising again so soon after our recent (January 2004) cruise to Tahiti. It seems impossible to believe that the experience on RSSC Paul Gauguin was surpassed by this one on the RSSC Mariner. We were very fortunate to have made life long friends aboard the Paul Gauguin last year and planned this cruise to the ...

We are a family of three, we traveled with our 4 year old. Previously we have only sailed Celebrity and we are looking forward to many future Princess cruises. Embarkation was easy and quick- just find out where the ship will be docked when you return as we parked our car at one pier and returned to another. Getting back to our car on arrival day was a nightmare and fortunately the only bad thing ...

First of all, let me say this was our ninth cruise and first with Celebrity. If traveling from Ft. Lauderdale, try the La Quinta hotel. Great place, not run down as some others have complained about hotels in the pier area. Your stay includes transportation to the pier which was great. The embarkation procedure was fantastic. No lines and everything was ready for us to walk up, get our room card ...

Island Princess Panama Canal March 5-15 Ft. Lauderdale: As we wanted to make own flight arrangements through a travel agent, we flew down on March 4. We always go the day before in case of weather and flight delays. Arrived in Ft. Lauderdale by noon, called the Embassy Suite shuttle and checked into the hotel. Our room was not ready, so walked around enjoying the shopping areas and ate lunch at ...
