We felt our experience on Ruby Princess was far less than we had experienced on other ships . Let’s start with the buffet. Although what was there tasted good the selection was like eating at “Old Country Buffet.” Cheaper cuts of meat and less variety. We also felt the entertainment was not of the quality we had experienced before. There was a very limited number of performers. Even though ...
We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary. This was our first Princess Cruise and we were disappointed. There were 4 sea days and many of the events focused on encouraging passengers to spend money on spa services. Some of the game events were better appreciated if you could participate in the game by buying some of the game items. We bought Deal/no deal tickets for $50 for 3 ...
The Ruby Princess was built in 2008, refurbed in 2018 and surely must be due for another upgrade. It's clean but terribly drab and grossly underwhelming. There are three main dining rooms and each evening all three serve the very same menu. It would have been nice to have a choice of cuisines, i.e., Italian, Continental, French, etc. The food was really not good, the portions were small and ...
I loved Princess, I have traveled with them on a few long, long voyages. This was on the Ruby Princess. From the start of this mismanaged voyage there was trouble. In Port Everglades, the ship had lengthy, long lines to embark, no one to tell you which queue was yours, no one to stop many passenger joining in the middle. The wait staff, many of whom did not speak English adequately (to the extent ...
We are elite and have returned recently from Rio de Janeiro on the Ruby Princess - What a disappointing cruise overall. I should add that after full payment, the price on this cruise dropped to the tune of $500 - $1000 per passenger depending on the cabin category......so no money back, but we got a cabin upgrade. I would rather have the money back to put towards shore excursions!!
The itin ...
Let me start by saying I am not a cruise expert by any means, but this was my 4th cruise and by far the worst. It started even before the cruise set sail when I did my booking on line. I learned from my other three cruises that my wife and I will always get balcony cabins and spend the extra money for a junior or mini suite.
So I did the same this cruise only to find out by reading other reviews ...
My wife and I have cruised many times mostly on Royal. Ive heard only good things about Princess, so we booked. We had a group of 10 People. Ages 30-75. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale pre-cruise stayed at the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale $188.00 with tax. The hotel was great for 1 night. We walked to coconuts for dinner which we enjoyed and returned back at the hotel to pass out at 730 pm. Took a cab to ...
We booked this cruise because of the buy 1 get 1 promotion. Found out later that the get 1 had to be a seven day. Not thrilled over this but what can you do. I just hope the Regal Princess is better - sure it will be. That said, I mostly had a great time on the Ruby. An amazing group of people at dinner - we really hit it off all together - more than any other ship I've ever been on. That was the ...
We booked a Vista Suite at the Aft of the ship. This Suite is suitable for 2 people but I can't imagine squeezing a family into this space. The balcony was wonderful and except for the camera pointed directly into our cabin- It was private. Our stewart told us it was a fire alarm..Yeah right. We booked this suite expecting the Suite amenities. For paying twice as much as we would have for the ...
Major flaws- played elevator music in the AM thru late mornings on the pool decks. Options for activities in the AM to late morning hours were card making and knitting. For REAL?
My wife and I have cruised on NCL 4x , Carnival 2 x. Princess was by far the most boring.
The entertainment in the evenings was pretty good.
The magician was fantastic.
The comedian was crude and allowed some old fart ...
