AZ crew in the Panama Canal

We chose this cruise because the timing was good, it ended up in LA where we could drive home to Phoenix and we needed 15 days to make Diamond level. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale 2 days ahead hoping to do some sightseeing but a cloudburst stuck with us for much of the 48 hours until we boarded which dampened our plans. We were glad we were staying in an Embassy Suites and had the extra room while ...

We chose this 16 day cruise for it’s itinerary, value and breadth of activities. The ship was a manageable size, offered plentiful activities and many meal and eating options. The cruise directors and activities staff provided many entertainment and participant activities. We were amazed at the friendly and helpful staff. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure we had the ...

A very pleasant cruise for us.

We were pleased with everything from the moment we got on the ship. Our cabin was clean and fresh. The cabin Stewart introduced himself and was happy to see if we could have a little refrigerator. We did. We were so happy to sit at table 137, where both Andre and Ignacio treated us as if we were royalties. Every meal we ate at dinner was delicious. The dining rooms were comfortable and not too ...

Positives: 1. The people we met from Cruise Critic roll call 2. Other fellow passengers, many of whom we met at anytime dining. 3.The RCCL staff, from the waiters, to the service personnel in Windjammer, to room steward(Willie), customer service, check in staff. 4. The wonderful food in the main dining room at dinner. It was the best by far among our 8 cruises on various cruise lines. 5. The ...

Not so loyal to Royal

Generally, we cruise with Celebrity. Our first cruise was on Royal, and it was a good one, so we had no qualms about doing another. I only mention this as while the two lines aren’t directly comparable, Celebrity serves as my point of reference. This cruise was a 9 night repositioning from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa. The ports were Labadee, Curacao, Aruba and Grand Cayman. Embarkation: Fantastic. ...

Not likely to revisit the Vision of the Seas

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise and will probably be our last. There were way too many issues. First, let me preface this review by saying I did not choose this cruise line, ship or ports. A relative and his friends had booked this cruise and asked us if we wanted to join them so we did but I'd never have chosen this boat on my own. It was far too small of a boat which meant there were ...

We were on the repositioning cruise on November 6th, that went from Fort Lauderdale to Labadee, Curcacao, Aruba, Grand Cayman and to Tampa. It was a great cruise! Embarkment was so easy, arrived via hotel shuttle at about 11am, and were on the ship within 15 minutes, so easy. We were not allowed to go to our stateroom until about 2pm (which I don't remember from our past trips with ...

A little of this, a little of that, and very little spice

For those of you who have not cruised since the Love Boat was a TV regular, well... things have changed a bit. The Cruise Line (RCI): Today, most cruises are heavily discounted, and therefore the cruise line must try any and all other ways to generate income. These include 'pay extra' restaurants aboard, non-inclusive drinks and even the somewhat poorly-considered practice of not supplying ...

1. Embarkation very good. Debarkation - chaos. We didn't get off the ship until 11:20AM 2. Entertainment. Awful. The comedian rolled up a napkin to resemble a penis and safety pinned in to his belt and strutted around the stage making flatulence noises and telling potty mouth jokes. 3. Giovanni's Table: terrific, but $20 extra. Lido (they call it the Windjammer): same food each day, very limited ...

Just returned from a 5 night cruise stopping in Key West and Cozumel and wanted to say, be careful where your stateroom is located! I booked this last minute and the ship was nearly sold out, so accepted Cabin #3652. I knew it was under the dining room and had read somewhere that the dining room hours shouldn't interfere with your sleep. Not so. This was located under the Kitchen, not the dining ...
