This review is for the Sept 25 cruise on Vision of the Seas. As a very frequent cruiser with many cruises under my belt I feel I can provide a fair review. This cruise was my first on the Vision, however I have been on almost all of RCI ship classes. Overall a good cruise with just a few caveats.
Check-in- This was the worst check-in process that I have ever endured. Almost 45 minutes waiting in ...
We have just returned from the 10 night cruise. The ship is beautiful and the crew is very friendly and helpful. This new captain is unbelievable. He is Captain Marek Slaby and he is out everyday. You will see him everywhere. We have cruised for 21 years and this was a first. You will run into him on the stairs, eating lunch or breakfast in the Windjammer. Even yesterday morning as the ship was ...
We spent the day before at Hampton Inn, North on 12th street. Nice, clean, friendly, and close to the port.
We drove to Port Everglades, dropped off the luggage, parked and was on the ship by 10:45. dropped off medicine and carryon in the room, and then procedded to the windjammer for lunch. Food was bland and cold, with not much variety. Food barely changednfrom day to day. The ship was clean ...
This was the first cruise for my husband and I and we chose Vision based on her short itinerary, ports of call, cost, location, and size. We were blown away! From walking into the terminal to onto the ship was 15 minutes, maximum. We parked at 10:30 and were on the ship before 11:00. Port Everglades has got their stuff together! The ship itself is beautiful, well maintained, and clean. We wandered ...
Not so Royal!
I will begin this review by saying that this is only our second time in a Cruise. Our first experience was with Disney and it was amazing. To be fair, we do understand that Visions of the Sea is an older ship and if we really want to have a fair comparison we should have booked with Allure or Oasis. I know you get what you pay for. That being said, we were still disappointed in our ...
It was with great expectations that we embarked on this cruise. Never had been to Bermuda and did not have to fly anywhere to get there! How much better does it get? Wrong....The problems started almost immediately... The way the furniture was arranged in the cabin (interior cabin) you had to crawl from the front of the bed in order to get in bed. Had to have the beds separated! One of the beds ...
We were aboard the September 1st sailing of Vision of the Seas on her Palm Tree's and Pink Sands Itinerary and had a wonderful cruise. Embarkation was very organized and we were aboard the ship in a few minutes. The ship is very elegant and well maintained. From the moment we boarded we were impressed with the new color carpeting in the lobby areas as well as the staircases, a very nice touch for ...
I went on this cruise off season (mid-September) and as a solo cruiser. The ship was beautiful and just the right size, not too big, not too small. It never felt crowded. I chose the itinerary because I was familiar with Cozumel but had never been to the island of Roatan. I loved the ports! Roatan - which isn't on the mainland, was just beautiful. Cozumel (also an island off the mainland) was ...
After great cruises on Celebrity and Princess. I decided to give RCI another chance. The dates, length of cruise and price was perfect. So I am questioning what happened to this cruise line and this ship?
I nominate Vision of Seas for the cruise ship hall of shame. Here is why:
Shame on RCI for having so many hand sanitizer stations malfunctioning and/or empty. And for little signs in restrooms ...
OK..more on that later!...Family cruise Sept 20-25th...9 of us total.....we had a great time on Vision.
My wife have cruised 16 times all with RCCL,and Celebrity and we really enjoyed the size of Vision....it was clean, looked nice, and had multiple comfy spots .
All meals were done in the Windjammer,or the Solarium Café....just cant understand others complaining on food....it is great.I mean ...
