The water in The Bahamas is like the fountain of youth. Just stunning!

Coco Cay was fun, it’s a little theme park-like though. Pristine water, the adults only side was very nice.

Odyssey is to the left and one of the newer ships in the fleet.

Overall, my husband and I had a great trip. The excursions were fantastic, the room was great and the staff are very personable. However, being a young married couple without children, there is very little entertainment catered to our generation. Most of the entertainment was for the elderly or for young children. Unless you wait later in the night then there are a couple of shows or parties, ...

This was my first cruise ever. I'm usually a plan my own itinerary, airbnb type of traveller. My husband and I went with 2 other couples, both of which were experienced cruisers. The ship was very clean and well maintained. We had a balcony stateroom which was well laid out, spotlessly clean and had plenty of storage. My only complaint about the stateroom was the water in the shower could ...

We chose Odyssey of the Seas, because we have kids ages 10, 5 and 2, and there seemed to be a lot to do. The bumper cars were one of the things we were looking forward to, only to find out it’s almost a 2 hour wait! We waited in line for about an hour before we said we are wasting our time. Wish they would designate times for certain ages. The ship has a rule you can’t save poolside lounges, ...

I travelled with my two kids under 3, husband and parents. Firstly , the pack and play they provide for babies is disgusting- it’s hard plywood and I wouldn’t make my worst enemy sleep on that. Because of this- my kids had to sleep with me the entire vacation… the food was terrible , poor selection and taste and quality was poor. Service was just okay, nothing compared to the service I’ve received ...

A little about us: we just retired at the ages of 59 and 63 and this was our 25th cruise (I think). We primarily sail with Royal and Norwegian. We are Emerald status with Royal. We booked this cruise 48 hours before sailing! We were told we booked the last available cabin on the ship which was an inside cabin. We always book a balcony but decided to go with it since we were getting a ...

The artwork on this ship was fun and breathtaking. I loved the bumper cars and indoor ping pong tables. The shows were next level fantastic. The holiday xmas decor and activities were wonderful! I really enjoyed the ship having lighting of the tree event, Santa arriving, carolers, and theme music. The cabins on this ship were beautifully designed. The cabins choice of decor, design, and color ...

Starting out. We are in our early 70s and very fit. We had to walk up 5 ramps to get to the main opening to the ship. Very unorganized........ Could not get into our room until 1:30. no big deal. Purchased the VIP. Had lunch after a few questions, in the main dining room and that was okay. Checked back a couple times on our room and it was not ready yet. The ship seemed very enclosed and ...

My husband and 3 teen sons wanted to go on a cruise (I've cruised before). We went during winter break and had side-by-side rooms, ocean view balconies. No issues with embarking and disembarking. Very organized. Rooms were very clean for our germaphobe family; did see one stain on the carpet but not a big issue. Bathroom spotless and no urine smells. Clean sheets and towels. No dust, though we ...

Post-Pandemic Cruising isn't as Good

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Odyssey of the Seas

I've taken two cruises in the past, both pre-pandemic, and I found this cruise to be quite underwhelming in the food quality and staff morale areas. There's a lot more 'extra costs' than ever before, so much so that I found it spoiled the good parts of the cruise experience such as the stateroom and other positive attributes. I had an inside stateroom, and was impressed by how clean it was not ...
