Great time with Royal Odyssey of the Seas

We were finally able to take our cruise booked 2 years ago and put on hold until now. We went with our 14 yo and 18 yo boys who were in a balcony room next door on 10th floor near elevators. We got a better room for them using some cruise credit (was interior room). Our flight was cancelled 12 hours before takeoff by Southwest so we drove 16 hours to Ft. Lauderdale and stayed near airport in a ...

First to the hotel captain, great job managing an outstanding staff. Chef’s to servers, bar staff, cleaning crews, Room staff all were superb. One of the finest crews we’ve seen in all our cruising. Master and ships crew: Superb job, Well Done. Of particular note, Our Room Steward, Igede, always went well above and beyond. Superior service from an outstanding individual. Always friendly, ...

Beautiful ship but food was disappointing

This was a last minute idea and we booked just a few days before sailing. The price was good and we were happy to be sailing again as our last cruise was pre-COVID-19. The booking process was easy and smooth, although we were a bit confused by the invitation to "Royal Up". We gave "Royal Up" a try but did not know we would not be notified that our offer wasn't accepted until after the cruise ...

This was our first cruise since the pandemic and we were expecting a lot because of the Odyssey being a new ship and all. Every crew member we encountered was above and beyond fantastic. The food and our stateroom was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Chops and were so pleased with our food and service. Thanks to all of the people who made our trip special and ...

This was our 4th RC cruise. We have been on Jewel, Navigator, Freedom and now Odyssey. This was the largest ship we have been on, As we have not tried an Oasis class ship. First, the good, and there was plenty of good: -Entertainment was awesome! The 270 venue is amazing, The Effectors was fun and kids loved it. Shows were as good or better than anything I’ve seen in Vegas. Very high tech! ...

We loved our cruise on Odyssey of the Seas. Great bar service, great(if corny) entertainment, lots of great food, great rooms, so-so windjammer. Loved.. Showers in the cabin, just a bit larger and better doors than on freedom class we've been on Specialty rest., chops and wonderland were awesome Campfire cookie in Playmakers, OMG Music Hall and 270, great places to see ...

First Cruise Since Covid Shut Down

This was our first cruise since Covid, we booked this almost two years ago. There was a lot of work and anticipation (testing, research etc) to make this trip happen. We felt fortunate to finally make it on the ship! That said, we had a very nice time on the Odyssey but it was far from the perfect cruise. We have sailed on several other Royal ships and was excited to be on Odyssey because of how ...

Food Needs Improving

I have cruised on RC many times and have had many enjoyable vacations. The Odyssey is a lovely ship and our balcony cabin on Deck 12 was roomy and had lots of storage. I especially liked the adult pool area and as long as you went down early chairs were always available. Shows in general were good. My only complaint was the food. Quality has definitely gone down and choices in the dining room ...

First time cruising Odyssey of the Seas, but we've cruised with Royal Caribbean many times. We went through all of the necessary pre-cruise Covid protocols...I used the 'at home' Covid test allowed by RCCL (links to it are on their website.) We uploaded our vaccine cards and photos and passports into the RCCL app. (That saved a lot of time!) We left out of Fort Lauderdale. Embarkation was smooth ...

The ship is good, but there are definitely some downfalls

I've traveled on 7 different cruise lines, and this was my first sailing with Royal Caribbean. This was also my first sailing since covid, so I can't say whether some complaints I had was due to covid or not. SHIP: The ship itself is beautiful. Everything was very clean, and the touchless elevator buttons were fantastic. I was on one of the first sailings without masks, and I have always ...
