Relaxing Thanksgiving Cruise

Just finished an 8 day cruise on Odyssey. Great cruise and very relaxing but have to admit not my favorite ship. Though that is the case here are some observations: VENUES/SHOWS - Music venues on top of each other which resulted in music from each venue bleeding into each other (music halls; crown/compass and schooners) - 270 venue was awesome. Very high tech - Main shows were ok. ...

Excellent Cruising Experience but can and should be improved...

I did not selected this cruise. It was chosen by my partner and I respected his decision. The ship is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. Due to the Pandemic, the ship had only 1,300 passengers while their capacity is almost 4,000. The dining rooms were great but not the food. Being a seafood fan I expected shrimps, lobster and crabs but was disappointed. Crabs were never an option on ...

Chose this cruise because of the ship. the newest in the fleet of our favorite cruise line, Royal Carib. The ship was amazing in itself, but with the low capacity at this time (approx 28%) and the friendliness of the crew and staff, it made it more special. We went to Coco Cay for the afternoon and it was empty so not too many water slides were open. That and the fact there were only 60 under ...

This was my second Royal cruise. It was 8 day Southern Caribbean on the Odyssey of the Seas. I booked this last minute and went solo for the first time. I chose this cruise for 2 reasons. I wanted to go on the Odyssey as it would be my first Quantum class and though I haven't been on an Oasis yet I do have 2 booked for next year. I also wanted to go the Aruba and Curacao. Because of ...

Boarding at 2 30 PM after having performed most of the check in online, could not have been better. Lots of health points for Covid health issues, everything worked like clock work. Staff and crew super concerned about health issues, making our well being their upmost priority. The staff all over the ship were more than please to see us and so express it with their attentiveness and desire to ...

Mystery solved, they bake fresh rye bread !

This is my 35th RCCL cruise on the newer Odyssey OTS,. I was having lunch in the Windjammer buffet, and they have a large variety of baked breads and rolls, but no rye bread was displayed. Being original from NY, I enjoy a good deli sandwich on rye bread. I happened to see my section head waiter, Jayson, from the MDR and asked him why they did not have any rye bread. He said he would check. Later ...

Originally booked on Independence and transferred to Odyssey after the COVID shutdown. We were extremely excited to be on the newest ship and had never sailed on a Quantum Class so I am probably making some unfair comparisons - **Note, I'm using the word "comparison" vs. "complaint". Embarkation: Very smooth - As Star Class, we had a quick line and we were in the Suite Lounge in a matter ...

We are Diamond Level and sail on Royal Caribbean as often as we can--usually every 4-6weeks prior to the pandemic. This was our first time on the new Odyssey of the Seas. It is a beautiful ship, chock full of exciting new activities and venus, especially geared to kids and teens. Lots of entertainment for adults, though. We are Casino Royale lovers and this ship has all new machines, the latest ...

We picked the Odyssey if the Seas • New Ship •itenerary • Departure Port • Royal Cruise Line We liked the idea of being in the US and that we will still be able to return to Canada by land if something happens. This is our first travel in almost 2 years. Embarkation is smooth and so is departure. Specialty dining is OK. We like Chops and Chef’s table. We did Teppanyaki and ...

Cruise on the Odyssey of the Sea, 9/11/21 On Saturday, 9/11/21, we flew into Ft. Lauderdale on Delta, arriving at 9:15 AM. Our boarding time was not until 12:30 PM so we sat in the Delta terminal until 11:30 AM and then took a taxi to the port arriving around noon. Taxi ride was $16 plus tip. It was not very crowded at checkin and we had to stop at several stations and they looked at our ...
