For our 17th cruise we decided to try one of the largest ships, although we had a concern about the ship handling such a large group of passengers, over 6,000. Actually we found the ship handled this problem very well, with one exception, most notable of which was the after diner entertainment. While the few shows/performances we were able to attend were good, getting reservations was extremely ...
I belong to World Wings International, the former Pan Am flight attendant organization and this year we held our convention on this cruise. The ship is huge but elegant, clean, very stylishly appointed. My stateroom was on deck 9 with an ocean balcony which I used a lot. The room was large enough for 2 of us to be quite comfortable. Our cabin attendant was a gem. The food in the dining room ...
Port: Port Everglades is a dream. Very efficient check-in process with a well-trained staff. While our boarding was delayed by a Coast Guard inspection of the ship, the process was relatively painless, if long.
Ship: This is by far my favorite RC ship. Super clean, very well maintained. The "neighborhood" concept kept any area from feeling overcrowded. The only area that was regularly jammed ...
We choose this cruise because we saw on Internet the size of The Oasis of the Seas and it was very impressing. We came from Holland via Brussels, London and Miami. It was a heavy journey. We spent one night in Hollywood, the Quality Inn, was very good. I wish we had more time to explore Miami but the childeren had only one week Autumn-vacation. The embarkation next day and disembarkation later ...
Embarkation was fast and easy. We arrived early and got on board around noon. Be advised that the rooms are not available until 100PM or later on the 1st day. We had a standard balcony cabin on Deck 7, Cabin 7568 - Category D8 - Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony. Cabin is small and balcony is small in my opinion. Bathroom is small but very functional. Ship is of course huge and takes a ...
Royal Caribbean definitely does some things GREAT, but some things not so great.
The Good:
1) Embarking and disembarking are both so fast and easy.
2) The layout Is very functional and it is easy to get around the ship.
3) The formal dining room service and food was exceptional.
4) The shows were fantastic. There are many talented performers on this ship! '
5) Cozumel - so ...
We decided on this cruise because my partner friends were going on this trip, so we decided to come along. I was reluctant because I was not thrill about the ports and shore excursions. I had previous been to all the location except one, but this would be my first time sailing on Royal Caribbean mega ship Oasis of the Seas so I agreed to go. Given the time of the month we were sailing hurricane ...
I chose this cruise to get to see and know the ship. I didn't really care about the ports of call. I was not disappointed. I have sailed on the Liberty of the Seas and CELEBRITY Silhouette before and this was really a great ship. Very enjoyable with plenty of things going on to keep people busy.
The presentation of Cat's was Broadway quality. Extremely talented cast for all shows. The aerial ...
This was a Costco Travel Buyer's Choice cruise and that lots of add on's. This was our first time on the Oasis of the Seas. We have been on the sister ship, the Allure of the Seas twice before. The Oasis Dreams show was cancelled due to weather. The Comedy guests were ok. The Frozen ice show was great! We did not enjoy Cats and left during intermission. The Casino staff was very friendly as they ...
The Oasis of the Seas is a huge ship. I booked it because of a sale, and a particularly cheap week was the week of my birthday. I went in with no real expectations except that it had to be better than being at work.
It's just about your average cruise ship. Its big, there's zip lining and surfing (which I didn't do), and ice skating (which I only noticed was open twice, for 30 minutes every ...
