Party of 10 arriving the night before. Stayed at Holiday Inn Express on State Rte. 84. Free airport shuttle to hotel. Asked about getting the shuttle to the pier with the front desk. They use All-Star transport for a reasonable price of $8 per person. Chose to pre-pay for a transfer to the airport on return for $12 pp. We were picked up with all hotel guests and transported by bus to the ...
Let me preface what I am about to convey by stating that I have been cruising since I was five years old when my grandparents (my grandmother is currently 89, still works as a travel agent, and has been on 108 cruises) first took me on the S.S. Dolphin, and since then, I have been on approximately 35 or so cruises with approximately 25 of those cruises on Royal Caribbean. I am currently a Diamond ...
We have always been VERY pleased with our experiences aboard Royal Caribbean ships. This ship however DID NOT meet our expectations. Most of the crew was very professional and helpful but very disorganized and not very knowledgable; the ship needs a lot of work.
We did not have the use of our cabin for several hours due to a plumbing issue on our floor.
I have never taken a cruise where ...
As a Diamond member with RC, I was expecting a fantastic cruise as I have usually had. This cruise was far from being up to par on RC's side.
Embarkation was a total disappointment. Diamond and Plus members were always offered a separate boarding area (one of the perks afforded for loyal service), but apparently not present at the pier to board for Navigator. I asked when I checked in and was ...
I will preface this by saying: I am giving an honest review. There are a couple of negatives, BUT by no means would I say don't sail on Navigator. I was able to go on a cruise . . and I LOVE cruising!
Embarktion: We flew into Ft. Lauderdale airport, arriving at the port about 11:30 (it's VERY close to the port). My husband's brother (who was joining us on this cruise) picked us up and ...
We brought our 6 year old twins on their 2nd cruise. We flew in late the night before and stayed at Riverfront Hotel the night before (booked through Priceline, very expensive because of Easter Weekend). We used Uber service from airport to hotel, hotel to port and port to airport without a hitch.
We cruised on RCI's Navigator of the Seas to Georgetown, Grand Cayman, Falmouth, Jamaica & ...
This was our first time cruising on Royal Caribbean. The staff did a great job and we really enjoyed the shows (especially Ice Dancing and Sound Collage).
The Windjammer, which is the ongoing buffet was good for breakfast and lunch with great fries, burgers, hash browns, and omelettes. Bartenders were friendly and quick and bars were everywhere so you did not have to stand in line for very ...
This was my 10th cruise and 5th with Royal Caribbean. We had been on Voyager of the Seas in 2008 so it was our 2nd Voyager class ship. This was our 13 and 16 year old sons first cruise.
Hotel info-We flew in a day early and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on 17th. Didn't care much for the hotel but you can't beat the location to the port- about 5 minutes away.
Embarkation was relatively ...
The Navigator was a clean and well maintained ship. Love the lay out.
Food in the dining room was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food at Windjammer was poor. Salads were fresh, nice cut up fruit but eggs and breakfast potatoes were disgusting ( except fried eggs ). Fish was dried out, tasteless.
Lots of kids of all ages. All had fun. Lots of activities- Flow rider, golf, ice ...
What made this cruise memorable was the group of family and friends we were with. And the Bon Jovi cover band. Other than that, the ship itself was below average on what we expect from cruising with Royal. Our stateroom attendant was great and the staff at the schooner bar was the best I've ever encountered.
Our head waiter was practically non existant. He would mumble "his recommendations" ...
