The Old School Ship of the Seas should be the name. The actual ship. Needs a paint job and renovations but has a lot of smiling faces on board with the best customer service.

my wife and i would like to think we are avid cruisers. at least one a year for the last three years and twice this year. we however have a bad habit of going all out the first time and we expect to be great all the time. so this time we had to lower our expectation. i have learned that once you go big there's no looking back. we just got back from a 4 day cruise to key west/cozumel on the ...

There were a lot of great things on this cruise - the food, the ports, the friendliness of other cruisers, and the service. There were a couple of things that were somewhat annoying - the constant photography during the first 2 days, our room being a meat locker, and the crowds in the pool during the day. Sunday - Our gang of four (me, DH, my mom and dad) arrived at the Fort Lauderdale airport ...

I was on a 5 night Enchantment cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was my 15th cruise, my wife's 3rd cruise and my kid's first cruise. The kids are 3 and 7. We arrived at the dock around 11:45 AM. We were in a Junior Suite (JS) so check in was quite easy without a lot of people there. Even without the JS status the regular lines had practically no one in them and lots of people to ...

We are two regular cruisers (both Diamond Plus with RCL), this time traveling with two adult daughters who flew from London to join us. One cruised with us last year, on Majesty, the other was cruising for the first time. In a nutshell, we had a wonderful time. I've cruised Enchantment several times and love this ship. Sadly, she was moved to Panama on an itiniary we weren't interested in (and ...

The original plan was to drive from West Palm Beach to Saint Augustine for a long weekend. But several folks advised against it, saying that Saint Augustine was great for a day; maybe two, but not worth a whole long weekend. So then we started looking at last minute "cheap flights" to a fun city...perhaps New York? New Orleans? Somewhere in the search, a cruise popped and we said, "Why not?" We ...

Embarkation Day - 1 (Wednesday) I didn't have enough vacation hours to take off the whole day, so I worked until 3. My boyfriend met me at work and drove me to the airport. I wish he had come along with us, but in the beginning it was only supposed to be me and my niece (a nice aunt/niece trip). Then my mom wanted to come, but ended up asking my sister and bil to go instead as a vacation for ...

Arrival and Embarkation This trip was booked 9 days before departure. I flew to Fort Lauderdale non-stop on Continental from Houston. I upgraded to first class for $60 and avoided paying for my luggage. It was worth it for the nice seat. Continental now has DirecTV on a lot of their flights, so that is nice. Due to the lateness of the booking, I really only had documents a little over a day ...

My boyfriend and I booked this cruise because it was reasonably priced for a last minuted getaway and because RCCL was a cruise line I was interested in learning more about. As people who have cruised over 35 times combined my overall advise would be "expect the bare minimum, then you will be pleasantly surprised". Cabin: Good. As an older ship I think the cabin was in good condition. ...

With all critiques I shall attempt to shed the positive and negative features of this cruise with the reader.  First let me share that I have only sailed once before with Carnival in 2007 and this trip too was as a single parent with my four boys.  Let me also share that I work in Finance and maintaining a constant vigile on our travel account does tend to sometimes get in the way of me totally ...

I'm a frequent traveler and this was my first cruising experience. The cabin I had was one with two twin beds and a window. I was very pleasantly surprised at the view and the size of the room. There was plenty of storage space for me and my friend which included a closet and cleverly placed drawers and cabinets. The shower and the rest of the bathroom area was a little small, but could be ...
