1-10 of 34 Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Cruise Reviews for Family to the Southern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Family cruise. Wanted to visit Aruba and Curacao. Hadn't cruised on this size ship. Thought it would be an awesome way to spend time with the family.
The ship was okay. Very dated but still serviceable. Thinking this monster ship would provide enough amenities to occupy us for a 9 day adventure didn't disappoint. The largest issue was the volume of vacationers and employees created a dining ...
First cruise back since November 2019. We are loyal to Royal since 2004. 38 cruises and Diamond plus so we’ve always enjoyed and been pretty happy with RCCL. Boarding in Port Everglades was flawless and fast. Ship is still beautiful. Was offered to upgrade for a fee through email. Something automatic if available for Diamond plus. Found that a lot of the perks we used to get are now reduced. I get ...
We did an 8 night cruise. We've sailed on Oasis 2 times before, but never the Allure and we had a lot of fun.
We had 2 early teenagers with us and there were so many activities for all of us to do together.
The food was mostly delicious! We had a few nights in MDR that service was VERY slow. We did my time dining and had to wait for a seat a lot - 20 to 30 minutes usually - but sometimes ...
I’m going to break this review down into sections for easy reading.
The ship- the ship is very easy to navigate, but desperately needs updating. It has a lot to offer as long as you don’t mind huge crowds and A LOT of kids EVERYWHERE. The ship was overall clean except for some stains on the tablecloths in main dining. 3/5
The room- we had the balcony room. Room is outdated with limited ...
ALLURE OF THE SEAS 9-3-22 TO 9-11-22 (8-NIGHT SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN)
DH and I are in our mid 50s. We live in Pennsylvania. This was our first cruise on Oasis class and also our first cruise as Diamond Plus members. Royal Caribbean is the only line we have sailed on. We have been to Labadee before, but Aruba and Curacao were new to us.
Pre cruise, we had booked a refreshment drink package ...
Super shocked to have to write a review for an Oasis class ship that had bad food but this one was a shocker. Albeit this is our first cruise post Covid I think that its just how things might be for a bit.
The main dining room was a huge let down. We tend to avoid buffets on ships but on this one we had to go a couple times because the MDR was just disappointing and often cold.
MDR food: ...
excellent 8 day cruise with a good itinerary. ate breakfast and dinner in the main dining room. the food on this ship tastes like food i would get in a regular restaurant. even the desserts tasted rich.
never did figure out my time dining. apparently its MyTime as long as it is after 6:30. after the first night i tried making a dinner reservation in any restaurant on the ship including ...
We've cruised probably 12-14 times since 1999, and in the last 10 years we had become very enamored and impressed with RCL. So much so, we literally hadn't even 'shopped' or looked at other Cruise lines. Starting with Independence back in 2010, then graduating to the Oasis Class and traveling on Allure (2 times pre-pandemic), Harmony, and Oasis herself and then again on Independence in January ...
Let me start off by saying this was not my first time on the Allure of the Seas. I was on this ship about 5 years ago, and was in awe of the architecture and entertainment on board. This time around I also was amazed by the sheer artistry of this ship. I'm going to break up this review in parts so it is easier to read.
FOOD:
The food was even better than I remember it being the first time I ...
Have been on a couple other cruise lines, but Royal Caribbean is always a favorite of our family.
Last Cruise we had our two teenage boys with us and although they were in the adjoining cabin, we rarely saw them. I was nervous initially about their age group (and the Allure has not been through the Royal Upgrade yet (with waterslides and bunch of other perks)) but there were so many ...
