An Overall GREAT Family Vacation

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

Have been on a couple other cruise lines, but Royal Caribbean is always a favorite of our family. Last Cruise we had our two teenage boys with us and although they were in the adjoining cabin, we rarely saw them. I was nervous initially about their age group (and the Allure has not been through the Royal Upgrade yet (with waterslides and bunch of other perks)) but there were so many ...

Two seniors (70+) from AZ traveling without our cruise buds this time. Having taken the Oasis in 2009 my partner suggested following up with an Allure cruise to see if it were as enjoyable. Our last RC cruise was almost four years ago. Transport to FLL - With departure on a Saturday this meant a Friday flight to arrive the day before.A flight on a Friday to south Florida means high cost ...

We booked this cruise over 1 1/2 years ago thinking Corona would be a distant memory. We almost cancelled since the positivity rate was close to an all time high. Glad we chose to go even though my sons gf tested positive and they had to cancel last minute. Ship had less than 2300 passengers who sailed! We saw many sea passes waiting for passengers who never got on board. Embarkation-Our ...

Great Time - Disappointed with Port Changes

My wife and I chose this cruise to surprise my folks and relatives, and it was an amazing success!!! My wife and I flew into Fort Lauderdale from Chicago the day of the cruise. This makes my wife a nervous wreck, but seeing as how we booked last minute it saved us almost $1000 dollars on airfare, hotel, and food. Amazingly, from the time we landed to embarkation was less than an hour. We ...

Great, but could have been better

I will start off saying our cruise experience was really good. Overall, our party of 5 (4,25,26,54,55 y/o) all had a blast. We had two rooms and the service at our rooms was really good. Our head waiter (Joey) was great in the dining hall. A little shy, but slowly broke out of his shell. For the food, it left us wanting more. Some items were great! Some, not so much. We got a lot of over cooked ...

Lots to say about this cruise: Embarkation: We had The Key and arrived to the port before the doors opened. One door was clearly designated for Key members. We breezed through Security and check-in, then were escorted to the Key waiting area in the terminal. The waiting area was divided into groups for Suites, Pinnacle, Diamond Plus and Diamond members, The Key, then the remaining boarding ...

Great ship and dedicated staff

This is our 3rd time on RCI. Our first was on the Oasis and the second on the Freedom. We chose the Allure so that our kids (young adults) would enjoy the amazing shows and the great activities on board. Ship: the OASIS class ships are by far the best for activities. The Allure will soon go into retrofit to get the latest new activities added (waterslides, etc). If you have young teens or ...

Allure did not disappoint

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Allure of the Seas

First time on mega ship, and came away very happy. A lot of people, but somehow we hardly encountered any long lines. Lots to do on a ship this size, so we kept busy. Our only issues would be that a few (very few) employees did not put on a happy face. It's as if they do not want to be there, but you can encounter that anywhere you go. My biggest complaint is the they have 12 elevators on each ...

We normally do Celebrity cruises, but this time was all about my 13 year old son and making sure there was enough fun for him. So we went on Royal Caribbean and were very pleased. Here is a comprehensive review: Cabin - we were two people in a balcony cabin - plenty of storage space, shower was great, no signs of wear, bed was very comfortable. We had another cabin with a balcony facing the ...

First time on big ship

I wanted to see how the big ships work. The check in and off ship was fast and easy. I thought I would be standing in lines but I was not. Maybe the ship wasn't full but there were still loads of passengers.I loved having cruise documents on the app and knowing cabins would be open at 1:30 (they were). Sea Pass was on my door. The storage seemed a little space but I was by myself so had room. My ...
