we chose this ship for the varied itnerary, and it travels r/t port everglades. we haven't been on a ship this small since the ncl starward in 1979. we have sailed many other cruise lines, but HAL gets first look due to the amazing crew. an 11:00 pm departure allowed for a seamless embakation. our balcony cabin was adequate and functional(most of the time). tired furniture and 1980 style tv not ...

My wife and I, embarked in Fort lauderdale for a 39-day Grang Voyage ending in Venice. The ocean behaved perfectly during the whole voyage with temperature highs in the upper 60s during the 5-day crossing, the upper 80s in the Caribbean and West Africa, and 65-72 the rest of the ports. Most passengers were a well traveled group of seniors, with some repeat Prinsedam guests. And now for my ...

This was a perfect cruise for us to get away from Cold and Snow! Valuewise? A $$Bargain$$. Heavenly weather suited us perfectly; as we wanted to 'Soak up Sun' then get out and about amongst the locals at every port of call. Firstly, we were perhaps NOT typical of our fellow shipmates. Being 50-ish put us at the younger end of the guest list..but we loved it!! PRINSENDAM guests on Grand Voyages ...

This cruise was roundtrip out of  Ft. Lauderdale from March 11 to April 30, 2009.  We rented a car and drove to Ft. Lauderdale a day early, a drive of about four and a half hours from our house.  We dropped the car off at the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport since there is no longer a special Hertz location at the cruise port.  We spent the night before the cruise at Candlewood Suites, located ...

This was our fifth cruise on Holland America, and the longest to date that we have taken. Our previous cruises were a seven day Alaska cruise on the Volendam, a ten day Caribbean cruise on the Maasdam, and 14 day Panama Canal cruise on the Volendam, and the 35 day Voyage of the Vikings again on the Maasdam. We are both in our 60's, retired, and very active. We are both avid photographers and take a ...

We are a retired couple in our mid 70's. We both enjoy cruising as our cruise record shows. This was our 72nd cruise in the last 15 years. I have had replacements on both of my knees, so I do not get about like I once did. We selected this cruise because it did not require a long plane flight to Europe like our cruise last fall. THE CRUISE START This was a 56-day cruise, starting and ending in ...
