We booked our World Cruise while on Antartica cruise 2020 on the Coral Princess. We had such a good time we decided to book the World Cruise 2021. The cruise was pushed to 2023 due to covid. Island Princess was rusty from the day we boarded Jan05. The entire ship was rusty. The sea witch logo was crying rust tears. The menu in the dining for 111 days never changed. We never had a hot meal. The ...
Our third Atlantic crossing, and the second time on Island Princess (Other time to Alaska). Island Princess is very stable, even in high winds and moderate seas, so no problems with seasickness for me (Mrs. K. likes rough seas-go figure!).
Unfortunately, my allergies acted up, as did those of other passengers I spoke to. More than one crew member said that there was so much dust on the ship ...
Last things first! The Island Princess sailed into the Venetian sunset yesterday, bound for Trieste and a multi-million dollar, 45-day refit.
Some people might have thought then, that the final voyage before the makeover, a 17-night sell-out cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Venice (March 19 to April 7) could be rather a scrappy affair.
After all some of the crew were staying on to tend to the ...
As internet is slow and expensive aboard the Island Princess, I'm writing this offline to copy and paste into facebook. We'll be 17 days on the cruise portion of this trip, and compared to our adventures in Thailand, the beginning has been free of travel complications. Thanks to brother, Tom, who dropped us off at Myrtle Beach airport to start this adventure on time.
Crossing the Atlantic by ...
This was a 17-day repositioning cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Venice. It was also the last cruise before six weeks of extensive refitting, which explains some of the problems.
This cruise attracted primarily Americans. There were some Canadians, a few Brits, and a sprinkling of other nationalities, but we did miss the international contingent we found in cruises to South America and ...
We had a fabulous time, but I can certainly agree with other reviewers...time for refurbishing! Princess staff are all usually wonderful and it was definitely so this cruise too. We visited two of the specialty dining rooms, Sabatini's and the Bayou Cafe & Steakhouse. Both were excellent. We actually went to Sabatini's twice! ...
Time just flew going across the Atlantic for the first. There was lots of things to do and plenty of down time when I wanted it. The food was amazing on the ship. The nightly entertainment was very professional and talented. The library was well stocked and people left their magazines for others to read. Tried the treadmill and those were great. My husband was surprised when he went to play ...
We normally try to take a Holland America relocation cruise every spring to Europe. We decided to try Princess lines given the Madeira/Barcelona/Rome/Naples/Venice itinerary and attractive price. We figured that Princess and HAL couldn't be that far apart since they belong to the same company. We couldn't have been more wrong. The gap is like that between a Lexus and a Toyota--both fine ...
