Disappointed in Ship and Princess Cay excursion in Day 1 almost ruined

Review for Grand Princess to Caribbean - Western

We have, 4 adults, have traveled together for over 40 years. We were disappointed in our balcony cabin as it was tired-dated bedding, decor, tile cracked in bathroom but good storage. Day one we rented a bungalow in the Sanctuary. Too far to walk so they changed to bungalow. Day went well although island could use some landscaping. Tram never came to pick us up so we walked halfway and a waitress ...

Hi my name is Larry and I am from Missouri, I have sailed on Princess many times, in face my wife and I are Elite members. I really don't have any problems with Princess except one, I have traveled with them from several years back, and each year we see Princess getting less and less in service, itineraries and overall service. The places where Princess now visit are all the tourist traps, and ...

We had a wonderful time the 2nd week of January 2013 on the Grand Princess. My husband and I decided to go on this cruise for a romantic get away without our child (teenager). We read the reviews and wondered about a couple of people describing the cruise as "the entertainment was boring or there was nothing to do". I can assure you this is not the case, however, we think we figured out why ...

East/West Caribbean on the Grand Princess

What a wonderful cruise! We did the East Caribbean/West Caribbean as a back to back. We are Elite and embarkation , disembarkation and in-transit were all handled nicely. We were onboard by 11:30 a.m. and the in-transit part took only about 30 minutes the second week. We had a LARGE group of back to backers -- 700 passengers! The ports were nice and the weather was good except for the rain in ...

We began our trip with several pitfalls. We had a tansfer set up through Princess from Ft. Lauderdale airport to the hotel (at midnight) that failed to show, but the hotel graciously sent a cab and paid for it. Our embarcation was interesting to say the least. After meeting the Princess rep and getting on a bus with all the other travelers, we had identified our luggage at the hotel it was ...

Can I get a do over?

First of all this is actually 2 back to back 7 day cruises not 1ea 14 day cruise as is sold. This equates to being at sea for a large amount of the time because the ship has to return to Ft Lauderdale in order to disembark some passengers and the taking on of new passengers for which ever leg of the trip that will start anew. Alone that's a 2 day at sea trip coming and going (4 days). Now add on ...

Grand Cruise on the Grand Princess

Arrived in Florida on Tuesday ahead of a Saturday sailing on the Grand Princess. Stayed at a Hampton at Cypress Creek on the north side of Fort Lauderdale. This is a convenient location for avoiding most traffic while visiting Olas Blvd and enjoying the views and food at Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Had three excellent meals--at H20 at the beach, at the Melting Pot in FL near the Galleria Mall, and at ...

Let me be straightforward about this review, although I usually do reviews I did not want to write this one - so I didn't write it until I read the review by Profcruiser. I am a Princess loyalist, next week we sail on our 65th Princess cruise, and we have sailed on the Grand Princess for 19 voyages. Yes, we have loved sailing on the Grand Princess and have really enjoyed our cruises and ...

So our cruise started out wonderfully, we arrived the day before the cruise left in Fort Lauderdale, stayed at the Courtyard Inn by Marriott off of Griffin drive, They also provide a shuttle service in the evening which take you to local area restaurants and shopping. We ended up at Bass Pro Shop, for dinner and the Islamorada. Was spectacular so we had a great dinner and afterward we went to ...

Grand Princess Repositioning Cruise around South America

Review for Grand Princess to South America

User Avatar

We have sailed around the world on Princess and this was to be a cruise to complete another section of the globe that we had not fully experienced prior to this cruise. We would be visiting 19 ports, as we traveled around South America in three different segments that made up the repositioning of the Grand Princess. The quality of the cruise was the lowest in our experiences traveling on Princess ...
