Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

The staff at dining room botecceli dining was wonderful, however I could not say the same for the staff on Divi Divi dining room, it was Christmas Day and we had an early setting and a private table, we were seated and given menus and then we waited and waited and waited, meanwhile more diners came in and got waited on before us, not acceptable. Not a quiet place on the ship to read or play games ...

Worst cruise I’ve ever been on.

Ship was understaffed. Food was the worst quality on a cruise that I’ve ever had, tough steaks, overcooked fish, sauces that were gelatinous and unpalatable. Breakfast buffet servers routinely ignored passengers causing lines. Total fiasco at Southampton on May 1 causing numerous passengers to miss flights. It was as if they had never operated a cruise during Covid. Passengers staying onboard were ...

This experience with Princess was terrible

Our experience with Princess Cruises was very disappointing. The Baltic cruise was modified to exclude Russia, which was OK. Then it was effectively cancelled and replaced with a repositioning back to England. The distances between ports, and the low value of the stops, made it seem likely that the choice of ports was to make up for an inability to refuel in Russia. The slower a boat sails, ...

Worst cruise I have ever been on.

Embarkation was a nightmare, 2500 people all lined up for 3 hours at the same time, a disaster. No internet for 13 days, and many days no TV. Had to line up on day 2 for a Covid test, despite already having to provide a negative covid test two days before boarding?? 95% of passengers never wore masks, which was highlighted by dozens of passengers having covid after day 2 tests who were ...

Transatlantic featuring great ports & good wine, but covid and disembarkation fiasco ruined the experience.

This is a long and detailed "Log" style review. It's pretty positive until near the end, when everything went downhill to an unacceptable level. If you just want the summary just scroll all the way down. Emerald Princess 4-16-22 We left home and met our traveling friends at their home at 8:30. We managed to get all the suitcases into their vehicle and we are off to Port Everglades. We ...

Deception, limited entertainment, horrible boarding, admins unprepared, ... excellent service crew.

It's difficult to be brief when you plan a year ahead, and the Princess is unprepared to honor their guests. 1. Deception: Is this the first time a world class ocean liner business has crossed the Atlantic Ocean? NO Internet for 13 days. Struggled to get Wi-Fi at three of the 5 ports-of-call; briefly at 2 of the ports. 2. Limited Entertainment: One main room entertainer: John Bressler ...

Not the Princess We've Been Accustom To

Princess Cruise Line had always been my first choice for cruising because the food, entertainment, daily offered activities, and just the personal touches were exceptional but no longer. We wouldn’t be so disappointed had we’d been told Princess was not up to par, but we weren’t and so we are highly dissatisfied. The concept of the mobile app is great, but the application is terrible. Most ...

Bought a transfer from the Miami airport to the ship, but wound up having to pay for a taxi drive to get to the ship. Then they wouldn't reimburse me with cash but onboard credit. One of the port of calls was cancelled. Got injured while getting off the tender in Panama. Was not offered the chance to cancel the excursion and get my money back. Lastly came in at least one hour late for ...

Very Disappointing

I have never cruised on Princess before, but had always heard they were a "cut above" most others, so I wanted to try them. This was a 10-night cruise that went to Cartagena, SA, and I had never been there before, so I was very excited. The itinerary started out going to the Cayman Islands, Cartagena, Panama Canal, Cristobal, Costa Rica, and Jamaica. A few months before the start date, the ...

We have always wanted to see the Panama Canal & the city of Cartagena was also of interest, so the itinerary seemed ideal. However, it was a terrible experience. Rude staff in Guest Services (an oxymoron if ever I heard one) where we were given misinformation and an attitude. An “upgraded” cabin with a leaking sink that flooded the bathroom. Only took 1 1/2 days to get this fixed. At least the ...
