Great repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles

After being dropped by the hotel shuttle at Fort Lauderdale early for embarkation as this was the only shuttle, we waited for just over an hour for the doors to open. We were processed after a little delay which extended to hours by the time many passengers were trying to embark. Our cabin was spacious and well laid out with plenty of hanging space. We had chosen my time dining and after four ...

I have been on the Crown previously about 6 years ago and it was wonderful so I was looking forward to being on the ship again. I flew in to Ft. Lauderdale the morning that we were leaving and so went to the ship directly from the airport. The lines to check in were very long, even the priority lines, which I was on. It took about 2-1/2 hours to finally get on board. It seems that everyone had to ...

This cruise made us realize just how diverse South America is. After taking the Pacific Princess107 day World Cruise in 2012, we knew we would enjoy this long cruise. The mixture of big cities, important events, variety of temperatures, wildlife, and small towns made this an ever-interesting cruise. We resisted the temptation to go off-ship for several days and instead enjoyed the shipboard ...

We have sailed four times on the Crown Princess prior to this trip and have always been very pleased with all aspects of our trip. However, the trip we just completed was disappointing beyond belief from the pre-cruise phone calls to Princess to the disembarkation in Los Angeles. We needed a visa for Brazil. As part of the visa application we are required to list a Brazilian address for Princess. ...

We are frequent Princess cruisers with over 15 cruises in the past. Overall, it was a very nice cruise. Although we have noticed changes in quality over the years, we enjoyed the food and service. The biggest problem was at check in in Ft. Lauderdale. The lines were horrendous. We waited over 2 hours while other people waited up to 4 hours. This cruise required a Brazil visa and a permit for ...

Embarkation- Horrendous is not an overstatement. You would think that the Port Everglades Princess staff had never had to check-in customers where visas or other special country entry docs were required. We arrived at the port about 2-hours after the check-in process had begun thinking that we would be able check-in easily and board the ship promptly as we had grown accustom to doing from past ...

Norovirus not contained

First Time Cruiser

Norovirus appeared on ship after stops in Carib'n. Still not contained when ship reached Buenos Aires 10 days later. Passengers probably not co-operative with isolation/preventative procedures. I believe Crown Princess could have been more aggressive with preventative measures before the outbreak occurred. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", especially when there is no cure! ...

We were sailing with Princess on the “Brazilian Adventure” cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Buenos Aires, a 19 night cruise. The larger majority of passengers on board the boat were the “49ers” travelling from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles. Getting to the boat Flights from UK fine, although glad we booked on earlier flight from Manchester to LHW to give us more time for transfer and to get ...
