Excellent ports of call, but ship's condition was disappointing.

The ship was brought into service, directly from a week of dry dock repairs, and it was pressed into service before the repairs were completed. We waited two hours in the terminal for embarkation to commence while last minute, crucial repairs were conducted. In addition, there were engineers and technicians all over the ship running cables, installing carpet, grinding metal, painting, and making ...

As always, Crown Princess delivered Princess value and quality on everything on board, from stateroom to dining room. We have great time on board and met great people along the way. Worth every penny and time spent. Iteinerary and ports are excellent. We specially like Funchal and Mallorca. We may not visit these lovely places if for taking the cruise. Food was good in both dining room and ...

Good cruise - Cartegena was the big wonderful surprise.

Overall Cruise was great, Staff was, as usual, friendly and helpful. The ship needed a little more time in dry dock. Water ( no hot), and flushing of toilets was an annoying problem. You took all the blankets off the ship! . I hate duvets for the beds and our steward could not give us light blankets!! Internet was very troublesome and slow with bad connections. The walking tour in ...

BAD ON-BOARD MANAGEMENT & FILTHIEST SHIP TO SET SAIL?

This was a relatively late UK-advertised (guaranteed cabins only) and hence a late booking (2 months prior) for us and our friends. At no time were we advised, by our agent or Princess, that this was to be it’s first cruise after a two-week scheduled major refit in the Bahamas. It was to leave Fort Lauderdale 3rd April and after 14 N end up in Barcelona and in taking a more southerly heading ...

Poor communication from Captain/Officers

Captain should move to a freighter as he is not comfortable in social situations or aware of importance of communication with crew never mind passengers. He was basically invisible, only saw him once at buffet when he avoided eye contact with guests as he trotted at full speed thru a restaurant. He did not communicate stopping at sea for several hours or communicate to crew who were clueless on ...

Came out of Dry Dock too soon

We chose this Cruise on the Crown Princess because of the variety of ports for 25 days. It had just come out of dry dock and full of problems...leaks in many places, laundry facilities not working, vibrations, late and unprepared check-in and the worst selection of food lacking any imagination. The hallways had ripped wall paper, the cabin carpeting was old and the ship had an elevator that had ...

I chose this cruise because I wanted to do a Trans Atlantic Crossing. The crossing was fun and relaxing at the same time. The cruise staff were outstanding. I enjoyed the food very much. There was always a great selection and something for everyone. We dined at the steak house which was very good and I would do this again. Our ports of call were amazing. We stopped in Madeira Portugal, ...

The worst cruise i have been on in a long time

This was a repositioning cruise right after dry dock. Embarking was delayed for inspections. The passengers were told to wait in the terminal....except the terminal was FULL so they moved more people to a different terminal. We sat outside on a bench for 3 hours with no water or facilities. When we were permitted inside another wait. Got to our room and asked our room steward for a wedge ...

We just returned from a 25 day transatlantic cruise. We chose this cruise because of the ports. The embarkation was the worst I've ever experienced in 40 some cruises. It was disorganised with us boarding 2 1/2 hrs late and exhausted. There were many problems all over the ship:The pool was not in service the first day and a half. Our toilet did not work for 13 hrs the 1st full day at sea, ...

We take two cruises a year with Princess, and are members of the Elite Status in the Captains Circle, and we liked the Trans-Atlantic Cruise we took last year so we decided to take this one because it was going to Ports we never been to before. I turned out to be the wrong decision since this ship had problems from the very start. Coming out of dry dock, we expected a sparkly clean ship ready for ...
