Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

I had been through the canal six times on the USS Boston (three tours of duty in VN) and wanted my wife to see the canal. We watched from the lounge and it proved to be a wonder for all the folks that were in with us. We ate most of our meals in the buffet and the food was outstanding. We did not go into Colon because there just wasn't anything that tickled our fancy. The timing was ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Let me start by saying a vacation for me is always fun. I love to get away and meet new people and visit places I have never seen before. Because I was with people who were fun, I did have a good time. From the beginning something was off. I was traveling with someone in a wheelchair and could get no help just to get her on the ship. We had rented a scooter and was put in the wrong room. ...

We had cruised on the Sky and was pleased with all aspects of free style. So booked Pear with 12 friends. The ship is nice very clean, however the room staff are overworked and there seemed to be less staff then I'm use to in all areas of ship. The entertainment other than theater was sorrly lacking especially on port days. We had cold weather and the ports were rainy. I am use to having trivia ...

Teens Point Of View!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

For my first cruise, I was pretty impressed with the outcome. The food was good (all except for the pizza, that tasted like crayons), the restaurants open all night were great! Like after teen club ended at about 1am you could go up and get something and bring it back to your room. The people on the ship were very nice and the workers were great, waking up in the morning and getting a dozen "good ...

There were 7 in our group and all of us related in some way. We ranged in age from 23 to 67. We have all cruised before and had the same complaints about the Norwegian Pearl and the service provided by the crew. There were long wait times for a table in the main dining rooms unless you arrived right when they opened. We waited one evening 20 minutes for a menu. We each attributed this to the fact ...

I would like to start off by saying, I read Cruise Critic and take others opinions with a grain of salt. I have never considered myself to be a hard person to please. I don't return food at restaurants because I am not happy. I just DEAL and move on. We have been on 6 cruises now. 2 Disney, 3 RCL and this one with NCL. I wanted to try the "Freestyle" cruising and now I have. I must be ANAL ...

We just returned from our 1st cruise aboard NCL's Pearl. We had a trip to the Western Caribbean during the Dec x-mas holiday. Ship - we liked the ship layout - very easy to navigate, clean and we liked the design - good colors, nice art work and not over the top cheesy as we expected from some of the reviews...very pretty ship. One thing that did surprise me was lack of holiday decor since we ...

4 people traveling... My husband and I are 50 and 2 boys 16 yrs old. This was our 24th cruise. Like all cruises, it had its pros and cons. But, we have never had a bad time on a cruise. The Pearl is a beautiful, clean, well designed ship. The staff is friendly and helpful. THE PROS: We loved our stateroom, it was a bit small but had ample storage, a great shower (the best yet) and wonderful ...

We just completed a cruise on the Pearl 2/17/08 to 2/22/08. In a word awesome, we loved this ship. We cruised Norwegian 15 years ago on our honeymoon and wanted to take our kids this time. We've cruised on RCCL Majesty of the Seas in 2004. Pre-Cruise We flew into Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise. It's a nice airport and the airfare on AirTran was only $49 each way, you can't beat it. I ...
