We had a wonderful time on MSC Poesia. We went with another family for a total of 8 of us. The kids were 15, 14, 12, and 12. Both families had been on other cruise lines. .. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Disney. We werent sure what to expect from a European cruise line. It w as great!! We would definitely book again. Ship extremely clean. Food wonderful!! All of the staff were very helpful. The ...

Relaxing cruise on the Poesia

This was our second time on the Poesia and we found the ship in the same condition which is a good thing as two years has passed. It does take away from the wow factor to get back on the same ship as there isn't that 'day of discovery' as you explore around deck by deck. Overall our experience was good and what we were expecting. I had booked a balcony for the price of an inside (in an ...

Wonderful cruise on MSC Poesia. Europe goes Caribbean

Prior to this cruise we sailed with all major cruise lines except for Costa & MSC. Our best overall line is Princess cruises, but also for different reasons we love Celebrity, NCL and RCI. Reading various review about MSC we were a bit confused. Beautiful ships, but so many negative reviews. We just could not believe it. What we found was a very nice and interesting experience, with its own ...

Disappointment on the Moody Blues Cruise

Sailing with the Moody Blues should have been the experience of a lifetime for this 'Superfan', and it certainly had its high points, but there were a lot of disappointments. Not all of the problems involved the cruise line, and that will be taken up with the promoters, but..... We four were promised a VIP cabin with two queen beds. You can imagine when four women walked into the tiniest ...

Horrible Cruise and Horrible Customer Service DO NOT GO!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

Problems we had: 1. We were never told that the cruise was being renting out by a group. The group was Cruise to the Edge. Instead of leaving entertainment for those that weren't there to see that, the ship catered to them and left nothing for everyone else to do. We are 29 and 30 years old and old rock is not our style. We were expecting to see shows and stay busy and instead we just wanted ...

Cruise to the Edge? Of what? Hell?

I just got back from the WORST cruise experience of a lifetime aboard MSC. They booked a half charter to a group called "Cruise To the Edge" that included entertainment by rock groups including heavy metal Zebra. The ship had over 400 children on board for spring break but they CANCELLED all regular evening theatre entertainment so the charter group could have exclusive use of the theatre. The ...

Very pleasant vacation...not too quiet, not too boisterous.

The Poesia is a beautiful, pleasant ship. Our experience was far better than many negative reviews have described. There are unusual features such as performances by real, Italian opera singers. The buffet is filled with Italian foods such as antipasti, various pasta dishes, and a salad bar with olives, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes. The dining room fare is much like Carnival's, ...

I read lots of reviews of MSC, and the Poesia specifically, after I booked the Moody Blues cruise. If you've read any yourself, you know there are quite a few very critical reviews, so I was a bit concerned. Fortunately, the ship thoroughly exceeded my expectations. MSC Poesia is a beautiful ship and in excellent condition. It's bigger than I'm used to, so it's easy to get lots of walking in. ...

Moody Blues Cruise. Great time, but VIP package a ripoff

We couldn't wait to go on this classic music cruise, we looked forward to it for months. The overall talent was tremendous, and the highlight of the cruise. Greg Lake's show was fantastic, and to me The Zombies stole the whole show with their stunning poolside outdoor performance. The food was mediocre but we really didn't care, we were there for the music and The Moody Blues. However, the VIP ...

MSC - never again

We sailed on the MSC Poesia on Feb 2nd to the Western Caribbean. We have been to these ports before, except for Falmouth, so we mainly took this cruise to experience MSC. We heard their ship was beautiful, and that is exactly all we got, a beautiful ship. Embarkation: we are glad this time we chose to have a relative drop us off. The terminal they use is complicated. You have to walk around to ...
