A MIXED BAG!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on MSC Poesia

Since both my husband and I are seasoned sailors, we tend to prefer smaller ships; however, the price for a trip to Bermuda was right so we decided to go on this cruise. Let's start from the beginning! Processing of passengers at the terminal proved to be a somewhat slow process in what felt like a huge warehouse facility. Photos were taken for I.D. purposes, then we hurried up and waited in ...

Just like her Sister ship, The Orchestra, The Poesia (pronounced PO-E-SEE-AH) Is a gorgeous ship! Spotless, modern and appealing to the eye!! Though the embarkation area was a bit tired (as it was in 2009) signs boasted a new and improved terminal was on the way (I think I remember those same signs!!) Once we finally got past the TSA....ahhh....people??? Embarkation was relatively ...

I am going to start with the good things we found on this ship. It was absolutely beautiful! The lounges and sitting areas and the dinning rooms were really very nice. There was always someone cleaning the brass railing. We were on the 12th. deck and had a balcony. The room was about the same size as most but the storage area was really nice with lots of drawers. They had real Italian Gelato ...

My spouse and I are also experienced cruisers and have cruised with multiple companies. We went with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. We did have a few issues with our cabin but these were rectified promptly and we received a call from Management the next day to be sure all was well! I must agree that the ship was spotless and seemed to be well maintained. I had no issue with ...

MSC = My Seventh Choice

This was our ninth cruise overall, our first time with MSC. We cruised previously with Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, NCL, Carnival, and Holland America. After reading the reviews, we embarked with low expectations. Since we live in South Florida, getting to Fort Lauderdale was no big deal. We arrived at the Port Everglades around 11:00 AM. Embarkation was slow, but painless. MSC says ...

My husband and I chose this cruise because it's the only cruiseline that goes to Bermuda from Florida. We were aware of the wide range of opinions re:MSC, Poesia, etc., but we decided to go with the flow as best we could.We're retired, have cruised several times, and have travelled internationally a few times as well. Embarkation was pretty painless. We were impressed with the infrared body heat ...

Delightful Poesia!

If you're looking for a standard American cruise, this probably isn't the venue for you. However, if your style is more refined and mannerly, don't overlook the MSC line. The ship is beautifully appointed and definitely the most immaculate ship on which I've ever cruised. The staff is there when you need them but not in your face all the time, fawning all over you or soliciting you for drinks. ...

Seven days on the Poesia were about five too many!

My wife and I booked a seven day Bermuda/Nassau cruise on the Poesia with several other residents of our retirement community. This was far from our first cruise, but was our first [and last] experience with MSC. We will NOT be back. Granted, the ship is beautiful and the housekeeping staff does a wonderful job of keeping it clean. The room stewards provide adequate service, as does the wait staff ...

Just awful and that is being kind

Absolutely horrible, had this been our first cruise it definitely would have been our last. The crews attitude was like we were working for them.Some of them were downright rude and service was poor at best. Something we've never encountered on any other cruise. The food was terrible, and they could not serve anything hot it was lukewarm at best. The taste was like nothing we've ever encountered. ...
