Disappointment

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on MSC Divina

30 of us cruise yearly. We chose the Divina expecting a quality, classy ship. Big mistake. The ship is huge but very understaffed. The waitstaff, cabin Stewart, etc.were great but overworked. Food quality was sorely lacking. We have never seen a thinner slice of "prime rib". You could almost see thru it! Lobster and shrimp were extra pay not included with dinners. We chose the 1st sitting for ...

Our Pleasant MSC Divina Cruise

Our cruise, February 2014, sponsored by our church, was wonderful, relaxing, and most enjoyable. The luxury of sailing on a brand new, beautiful ship was most exciting. Walking through parts of the ship was a labor of love as we saw the beautiful décor of lounges, dining areas, libraries, hallways, and the atrium. The entertainment provided every evening was, without a question, the most ...

My wife and I recently returned from our 7-day cruise on the MSC Poesia (sailed 4/6/13). It was our second journey on MSC, (the first one being on its sister ship, the Orchestra), and truly one of the best cruising experiences we've had in recent years. Our trip started on a sour note, unfortunately. We had booked the cruise through MSC's own travel agents. Although we were not able to use our ...

Ship was beautiful and sparkling clean, looks brand new Decor is lovely, and even the hallways are light and attractive. This was my 3rd time on Poesia and she is as beautiful as ever and now some new additions and new things make her better than ever, especially for Americans embarkation was the easiest ever, walk right on, we were there very early and away we go Bought the prepaid wine ...

This was my sixth cruise, but first on MSC, and it was Mark's first ever cruise. We flew from Baltimore to Fort Lauderdale the day of the cruise, and arrived about 2:30. We took a cab to Port Everglades and were there in about 10 minutes. Embarkation: Embarkation was very quick. There was no line by then, and after a quick picture, we were on the ship. We dropped our carry-ons in our ...

MSC Poesia, for a relaxing cruise experience...

I am a seasoned cruiser and have cruised most of the mass market lines. I was attracted to MSC because of the value rates offered for single travelers. Yes, I did this one solo! Being alone I would be able to see all the negativity that you all are talking about, without worrying about someone else. Two weeks before the cruise I found a singles group of 33 members sailing together and I ...

We were so surprised that our embarkation went so smoothly. We had booked the Poesia cruise first and then we discovered a wonderful deal to cruise on the Caribbean Princess that left the week prior to the Poesia. Our big concern was how would we get to the Poesia from the Caribbean Princess. We had tried to find out which piers the 2 ships were docked at but no one was able to tell us. We ...

After reading all the negative reviews and comments, I was a bit apprehensive about what my booked cruise would be like. Wonderful Cruise!!!! Staff was friendly and tried to help me with whatever issues or questions I had. The cabin crew was great and responded to any questions or requests I had, like extra pillows etc. The dining room staff was professional and extremely friendly and ...

This will be a slightly different review as we were on a theme cruise and not a regular sailing. In other words, there are some things that I cannot rate on behalf of MSC because they were not under MSC's "control." This was a Moody Blues cruise, featuring the band along with several other performers, and for a theme cruise it was fantastic. Lots of music all the time (except when the ship was ...

As a first-time cruiser, I have to say that MSC not only met but highly exceeded my expectations! I was worried about all the negative reviews I'd read before I booked with them but I never encountered anything less than exceptional during my stay. From the moment we hopped aboard, we were greeted with welcoming, friendly staff. Our room assistant, Claude was very sweet and polite. Our room ...
