MSC Yacht Club YC3 Royal Suite Seaside

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seaside

For people who have ‘been there and done that’ I will try to relate to you the experience received in the Royal Suite aboard the Seaside this past summer. Having read many reviews of luxury lines, Viking, Seabourn, Silverseas, Oceana, Regent and all the recent problems many affluent cruisers have experienced on board these fine cruise lines, I have to tell you about MSC Yacht Club. From strictly ...

Our Pleasant MSC Divina Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on MSC Divina

Our cruise, February 2014, sponsored by our church, was wonderful, relaxing, and most enjoyable. The luxury of sailing on a brand new, beautiful ship was most exciting. Walking through parts of the ship was a labor of love as we saw the beautiful décor of lounges, dining areas, libraries, hallways, and the atrium. The entertainment provided every evening was, without a question, the most ...

Poorest Cruise Line EVER

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Poesia

This was an 18 day cruise with an extra 5 days in Germany. This Cruise Line had no idea of how to treat Customers. The Reception Staff was rude with whatever question you had. We lost 2 nights of sleep crossing the Atlantic because something had come loose in the ship's bulkhead and was banging so loud every few minutes. We reported it to Reception the first night only to be told they ...

MSC ROCKS!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on MSC Poesia

We were so surprised that our embarkation went so smoothly. We had booked the Poesia cruise first and then we discovered a wonderful deal to cruise on the Caribbean Princess that left the week prior to the Poesia. Our big concern was how would we get to the Poesia from the Caribbean Princess. We had tried to find out which piers the 2 ships were docked at but no one was able to tell us. We ...

Relaxing cruise on the Poesia

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

This was our second time on the Poesia and we found the ship in the same condition which is a good thing as two years has passed. It does take away from the wow factor to get back on the same ship as there isn't that 'day of discovery' as you explore around deck by deck. Overall our experience was good and what we were expecting. I had booked a balcony for the price of an inside (in an ...

Good For My First Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Poesia

I went on the Monsters of Rock cruise in March. I would say it was a good cruise for my first time, but I would definitely cruise with a different line next time. The pros: -Service was great. I never found anyone to be less than helpful and courteous. -Our room was always clean when we returned. -It never seemed crowded; however, that may simply be a result of being on an 80's rock ...

Very pleasant vacation...not too quiet, not too boisterous.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

The Poesia is a beautiful, pleasant ship. Our experience was far better than many negative reviews have described. There are unusual features such as performances by real, Italian opera singers. The buffet is filled with Italian foods such as antipasti, various pasta dishes, and a salad bar with olives, artichoke hearts, and sun-dried tomatoes. The dining room fare is much like Carnival's, ...

Much better than expected!

I read lots of reviews of MSC, and the Poesia specifically, after I booked the Moody Blues cruise. If you've read any yourself, you know there are quite a few very critical reviews, so I was a bit concerned. Fortunately, the ship thoroughly exceeded my expectations. MSC Poesia is a beautiful ship and in excellent condition. It's bigger than I'm used to, so it's easy to get lots of walking in. ...

I was on the Poesia in December 2011, again in December 2012 and also on Jan 19th of this year (2013). In December 2011 the food was almost all Italian and we enjoyed the experience. In December of 2012 it looked like they were making an attempt to serve american food to their guests. As reported here in many posts it was terrible. I went on about 5 weeks later and the change was almost ...

Nice ship, good itinerary, noisy stateroom

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

MSC Poesia is a nice and elegant ship. It is spotless clean, definitely cleaner than average cruise ships. I chose this ship because of the itinerary and was not disappointed. Due to high winds, the ship could not dock in Falmouth but docked two hours later in Montego Bay. At all the other ports the ship came on time and getting off the ship was a fast process, except for the tendering in Grand ...
