At around 2:30 we made it to our room and relaxed as we waited for our bags to arrive. The first bag came around 4:15. The second bag around 5:00 and the third around 5:30. At around 7:00 we wondered what the hold up was for our final bag and I started the multi round calling session trying to reach reception (No answer after at least 6 calls). We decided to go to dinner expecting that it would ...
The cruise ship was horrible, they staff was rude and discourteous, and unprofessional to say the least. My entire birthday trip was ruined due to the rudeness and discrimination that was evident on the ship. My husband tried to surprise me with a cake at dinner and cake order was wrong and was delivered to a different restaurant. Often time room was left a mess and had to call customer service to ...
I am going to start with the good things we found on this ship. It was absolutely beautiful! The lounges and sitting areas and the dinning rooms were really very nice.
There was always someone cleaning the brass railing. We were on the 12th. deck and had a balcony. The room was about the same size as most but the storage area was really nice with lots of drawers. They had real Italian Gelato ...
MSC was easily the worst cruise line I've been on and the first time after sixteen cruises that I've actively wished the trip would end early. MSC should be ashamed of how poor the quality of service they provide is, but whereas a consumer-oriented company would see complaints as an opportunity to do better I get the sense that MSC would just shrug and not care. It's not service with a smile - ...
Problems we had:
1. We were never told that the cruise was being renting out by a group. The group was Cruise to the Edge. Instead of leaving entertainment for those that weren't there to see that, the ship catered to them and left nothing for everyone else to do. We are 29 and 30 years old and old rock is not our style. We were expecting to see shows and stay busy and instead we just wanted ...
I just got back from the WORST cruise experience of a lifetime aboard MSC. They booked a half charter to a group called "Cruise To the Edge" that included entertainment by rock groups including heavy metal Zebra.
The ship had over 400 children on board for spring break but they CANCELLED all regular evening theatre entertainment so the charter group could have exclusive use of the theatre. The ...
I'll be blunt, direct and the most honest I can on this review. Basicly, I'm not a complicated or demanding person.
This is my 3rd cruise this winter.
The MSC cruise was the worst cruise and overall the worst vacation in my life. I'm now 50.
Be aware that this cruise was during spring break and there were lots (realy a lot) of kids and teens. So read this critic acordingly.
I wanted to kiss ...
The ship itself is beautiful - we were thrilled at first! Our MSC Poesia room (we upgraded to Outside Balcony) was nice for a cruise ship. Our "Butlers" were fantastic!! So nice and attentive - my sister was even sick one day and they made her bed 2 -3 times that day. Unfortunately, that is the ONLY thing I can say was good on this ship (aside from Donny and Marie on it).
The food was TERRIBLE ...
We booked our cruise with cruise.com in July 2011 and persuaded 6 of our friends to join us. At no time were we informed by cruise.com or the cruise line it was a heavy metal themed cruise called 'Shiprocked'. One couple who accompanied us had never cruised, were in their late 60's and celebrating a special anniversary. We were so embarrassed standing in line with them surrounded by heavy metal ...
My husband and I have done many cruises, but this is my first review. I tend to overlook a lot of deficiencies and always try to be positive.
I am making an exception since this was the WORST CRUISE WE HAVE EVER BEEN ON.
Embarkation was ok, lots of regimentation and moving from place to place, but it was OK.
As we got on the ship, we noticed that there was no "welcome aboard" ...
