I chose the full world cruise because of its long duration and the ports of call, and this ship because it is just the right size for me, and I know its crew and amenities from my previous 600+ days on board. The Silver Whisper is currently home of the World Cruise and we enjoyed the first three segments (hence segmentarians). 180 of the 380 guests on board are doing the whole cruise, Ft Lauderdale to Venice, finishing at the beginning of May. We were on the Two Ship World Cruise starting with Queen Victoria from Ft. Lauderdale to Sydney. Our cruise began with a two hour wait to be checked in. This is my fourth world voyage on the Queen Vic. Each time I've noticed a slight lowering of service standards. First, the fresh free daily bottle of water disappeared, then the room service Hors d'oevres, then the after dinner bonbons were downgraded (Jello squares and rice krispy treats! Really!)
