1-10 of 54 Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) to the Eastern Caribbean Princess Island Princess Cruise Reviews
I decided to do this 14 day cruise with my family from Fort Lauderdale stopping at 8 ports. Ship was nice, Onboarding was great. Room service was ok. The restaurant dining was quite good. However, the buffet was absolutely horrendous. Almost every day, the menu was limited and boring. Food looked recycled... dry or overcooked, unappetizing, bad smell. Fruits were sour or tasted rotten... melon ...
I have been cruising for over thirty years, and have noticed that the cruise companies are using accountants to make decisions for them. CUT CUT CUT. Christmas new year's cruises are normally one of the most expensive times of the year to go. I have done this many times In different parts of the world. This is the first time I have ever written a review. Here it goes.
Boarding the ship was ...
For her age, Island Princess is in great shape. She was spotless and well maintained all through she is starting to show her age. Loved the itinerary and the efforts made by crew to celebrate the holidays. Being onboard for both Christmas and New Years was a lot of fun. The Guest entertainers were very good and the ship's band was amazing. The band and lead singer in the Explorer's lounge ...
We chose the cruise for the locations and because we had sailed with Princess previously. We knew the cabins were comfortable and dining was excellent. There were plenty of shore excursions to choose from if that is what you are after, and plenty of activities to keep you busy on the ship. We chose to do some tours, but also enjoyed staying on the ship and relaxing by the pools.
I LOVE that ...
After cruising Alaska on Princess Cruise with friends many years ago, we (myself&Hubby)decide to take another opportunity and cruise again in December 2019 over the new year to cross the Panama Canal and start the new year and decade celebrating life onboard Island Princess. And glad am I, we did!!!
Our experience was a 5star journey from the beginning ‘til the end. I will start with the ...
We choose this cruise because of the timing and destinations. The info about the excursions are limited. Jamaica was not the best, very disorganized.
We traveled on Celebrity last year and it was very enjoyable.
This cruise the open seating is very disorganized, the showers are so small you can't move in the shower without get the bathroom floor soaked and the carpet. Food is OK. ...
We wanted as short cruise before the Holidays and this fit the bill. It was quite unexpectedly an inexpensive cruise and as the price dropped, our agent was able to get us a refund and then an upgrade to a midship balcony. The ship is older and was built to sail through the old Panama locks, but she is very well kept. The balcony room was a bit smaller than other Princess ships We have sailed on, ...
We just returned from the 4 day cruise on Island 12-16/20. Shortest cruise we have ever been on. Island is a beautiful ship and the last of Princess's great mid size ships. FIRST - we walked all around deck 6 aft (which was empty of passengers) and there is NO VIBRATION! Finally it has been fixed. We did not expect a whole lot of the trip, but they put on two of the most amazing production ...
This was a quick cruise with 1 port - Amber Cove. The Island Princess was a beautiful ship, decorated everywhere for Christmas and the crew was fantastic everywhere we turned.
The ship...
The ship was in wonderful condition...the only imperfection I noticed was in our stateroom where they had obviously changed out artwork on a wall for a wall mounted large flatscreen TV....you can still see ...
Positives: excellent service, delicious food in MDR, entertainment good. Staff were friendly and courteous for the most part and we enjoyed chatting with them.
Negatives: ship in dire need of reburbishments. Common areas extremely dated and worn. Cabins tired, but more surprisingly dirty due to cloth on headboard as an example being stained. Seating in public areas also looks dirty due to being ...
