Dining at sunset on formal night. We dressed but many folks did not. We wished we didn't also (less clothes to pack!)

Great B2B cruise, exceeded expectations after reading other reviews

This was our first time sailing this cruise line and I would have to say that value wise I rate it close to the top after 7 cruises. We are looking into a family cruise with grown children and grandchildren with Royal Caribbean in the near future. Embarkation went extremely smoothly, fast and efficient; the least painful of any cruise we have taken. Disembarkation was good, there was ...

A Nice Cruise with a Few Caveats

I took this cruise as part of a small conference group. The expedited check in worked great. However, if someone had never cruised before, they could find it confusing as one does not receive information other than to keep walking. Disembarkation was fine. I chose to book the $15 bus back to the airport, and we were off quickly. No concerns at all. Our group had the late dining. This is my ...

We went as part of a big group that reserved the entire ship for a 5 day cruise. This was the 6th cruise of my life so I feel I have some experience in cruising. Royal Caribbean has been a class act and they take of their ships. We left from Ft. Lauderdale with stops in Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We got to watch Superbowl LIV on the ship. The ships can carry 3,500 or more passengers, that ...

We had never been on a cruise before. Glad we went. Glad it was a big ship, seas were calm. 2 Ports, Haiti and Jamaica, both were interesting, worth it. We sat alone in the Main dining room, which was okay, but we sort of got 'forgotten' due to the waiters being so busy with the larger tables. We ate at the buffet Windjammer mostly. Food was pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing ...

We cruised on the Independence of the Sea on 11/9/19 to the Western Caribbean. We always liked the Freedom class ships and have been on a number of them. We had not been on this ship since 2015. Since we flew in the same day of the cruise and arrived in Ft. Lauderdale at 8:30 AM we waited at the airport until 10 AM and took the taxi to the cruise port, like 3 miles away. Arriving at the cruise ...

Well just got back from 7 night Caribbean cruise on Independence of the seas and it was great. Cabin was spacious and clean. Entire ship was updated with something for everyone. Huge ship but not the size of the Oasis class. Smooth sailing as well, hardly felt any motion. Plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Ports of call were good. Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Labadee, Beach ...

The staff was amazing and they made every effort to accomodate our requests for food and other amenities. Cruise was overall fun for the whole family and this cruise is best if you have little children as it has arcade and other fun areas that young kids will love. The shows and food were great. The pizza being available almost 24 hours a day and being included in your cruise price was definitely ...

Just returned from a 5 day cruise with my family (wife + 2 teen age kids) and wanted to share some immediate feedback for others. More later - but for those about to cruise here you go: 1. Overall we had a great experience and would do again. 2. If you use the Gym (good facility) be aware that almost No One cleans their equipment when done. I suggest you wipe down the equipment you use ...

Went on the Western Caribbean Cruise with my husband. We are both in our early 30's with no children. We were looking for a relaxing and fun getaway on a great ship we did not plan to do any excursions. We both really enjoyed Indy! The timing of the cruise was perfect as there were not too many children on board. Embankment was extremely easy. We had done all the paperwork online and were able ...

Very Good and Well Worth the Time and Money!

This was the largest ship I've been on for my fifth cruise. The category of "Very Good" fit this ship, the service, the activities, and just everything across the board. I have had "Excellent" or "Exceptional" experiences in each of these categories on other Royal Caribbean ships or with other cruise lines on various occasions. While nothing was "wrong" in any of these categories on this cruise, ...
