Just a few thoughts re. traveling on this ship with 4 kids -- ages 12 to 4. We stayed in the ultra spacious family suite, room 11528. We loved it, it was really spacious. It had bunk beds behind a curtain, a couch that had a trundle, and a king size bed. Also, a walk in closet that was so nice. The kids loved to sit in the porthole windows. A few tips that worked for us: we loved the ...

Cruised on the Allure several years ago which my wife and I enjoyed and our 8 family members wished to try the newest and largest Royal Caribbean ship. Very efficient getting on and off the ship. We saw all the scheduled entertainment which was excellent. Loved the park cafe for breakfast in central park—very peaceful unlike the Windjammer which was always very crowded whereby finding an empty ...

Between the older kids' summer jobs and college, we had just one week together. It's hard to find something that is both fun for the kids and gives us family time. A cruise is a great way to do both. Together we went on excursions, to shows and to dinner and then the kids went clubbing. We had a nonstop week of fun. There wasn't time to do it all - my son tried and just couldn't do it! We ...

My husband, 20 year old daughter and I had a lovely time on Harmony of the Seas! We've been on 8 cruises and by now consider ourselves old hands at it. I've always enjoyed reading the reviews on Cruise Critic.. but everyone is looking for different things from a vacation, so all I can do is relate my experience, and I hope it helps some planners! We flew into Ft Lauderdale the night before, and ...

The ship was very impressive. Overall the cruising behemoth was more than expected. The Promenade was very nice except for the (watch an merchandise booths). They were cheap looking and needed to be more elegant and luxurious. The Sports section was amazing with a wide variety of sports for all guests( ping pong, basketball, surfing, zip line, mini golf, etc). The shows and entertainment ...

We choose this cruise for the ship! The ship is absolutely beautiful. There is everything on it that anyone could imagine ..from young to old. We went with a group of almost 50 people, from the ages of 18 to 68. There are activities for everyone. The restaurants are lovely. My complaint about cruise : I believe there is a lack of shore to ship communication. For example I have a large group ...

In the past cruises, the bartenders are usually the most customer friendly, but this time it was all about the dining servers. Jefferson and Nilesh were absolutely superb! Every night they gave us an above beyond experience and made us feel so special. They sang happy birthday to my cousin every single night! I looked forward to dinner every single night. The one night we went to Wonderland ...

We chose this cruise line because we thought it would be great for our teenage daughters. It was a not a great experience for our kids. They tried every night to meet and mingle with other kids. They didn't make one friend the entire week and they both tried so hard. It was so disappointing. The people in charge of the kids program could do so much more to encourage kids to mingle with each other. ...

Great for families, less so for seniors

Inter generational cruise to celebrate a 40th birthday. Booking direct with Royal Caribbean from Australia difficult as it was impossible to speak to the same person twice and necessary to keep punching phone numbers to get to the right area. Call centre staff less than knowledgeable and benefits of a suite were not explained until we boarded, which required cancellation of paid ...

Embarkation/Disembarkation proved to be truly seamless in their operations.HOTS was immaculate. Dining was divine. Our balcony cabin on the 11th floor was cozy and the square footage just enough for us. On the other hand, Guest Services. GS is just that. A Service Team. GS must prove to be better when assisting passengers. We are there to enjoy our sabbatical. For many, this happens once a ...
